Carolyn trailed behind all of the students she had been trying to avoid on the train earlier. That was what he older brother had told her to do, after all - "You need to find out who's worthy, and don't you dare tell anyone you're less than Pure." - there was apparently a big stigma at this school about students who were not born from wizards or witches. She had also been told not to whisper a bit of this to Mum or Dad as well. Joseph had said the only way he had survived at school the previous year was through lying about their parents being non-magical, or 'Muggles' as he had put it. She didn't feel very comfortable lying to people she had never met before, but there was nothing better to ask for than advice from a brother who had already gone through and done well at Hogwarts, wasn't there?
She and the other students stood there, waiting to follow a tall, regal looking woman past the doors behind her, however she first gave them a speech about houses. Carolyn surmised that there were four and focused on various traits a person could possess... however, this did not add up to her. Weren't people capable of being more than just cunning or loyal - did they base this test on your strongest trait? Or did they base it off of a written exam?
A sudden vortex of whispering came from her left and she looked at the boy instigating the communication with a...with a really beautiful girl. Caro felt her cheeks become red and she dropped her gaze to her hands as she twisted them in her nervousness. Her mother had curled her hair today before they ran to catch the train, however she didn't come close to the other blonde speaking with the boy a short distance away. Her heart beat picked up as she dared to dart a glance their way...
"Attention everyone, this way please!"
All too soon, Carolyn view was blocked by the moving students and she quickly fell to the back of the group, waiting her turn to see what kind of room lay before them...

Pandora Nott was far more excited than any of the other students seemed to be. She had done nothing but chat away at people on the train, giving them all the facts she had heard over the years about the school. A few strange people had asked her if she was a pureblood, a fact she didn't see relevant. Why did that matter? She had loved growing up with the muggles, and some of these students that where now surrounding her probably came from muggle families. She had heard the stories from her parents, but actually being in the school was an experience. Everything was new, and beautiful, and she was hardly paying attention what the Professor who was leading them was saying. She snapped her head down from the ceiling, trying to focus in on the last words before the Professor left. She had no idea what had been said. She turned to a boy on her right, giving him a smile. "Do you think the sorting will take forever? What house do you want to be in? I don't have a preference because they all sound so interesting how could you pick just one! What's your name?" She stopped to take a breath, not even realizing that she hardly have the boy a chance to reply to her questions. Taking a look around, she tried to catch the attention of a girl who had been looking over in her direction while she has been speaking. She gave a friendly smile and a wave, hoping the girl would turn back towards her. Before she could wiggle her way over towards the girl, however, the Professor was back and was ushering them into the Great Hall to be sorted. And Pandora let out a gasp as she looked up at the ceiling. It looked like the sky outside! Sure, she had heard about it, but everything was so much more magical once you could actually see it. She followed the rest of the first years forward, eyes stuck up towards the roof.

Hogwarts, she had done nothing but go on about the school since her 11th birthday in June. Her mother had told her stories, talked all about the houses, even gone over her school books with her. They'd both been gushing over the start of the term all summer. But now that they were in the castle, Daisy Hookum wanted to be curled up with her mom on the couch reading. She had already shed a ton of tears on the train after her mother had dropped her off. They'd been one of the first families on the platform, and do to her moms work she wasn't able to stay to actually watch the train leave. After crying in an empty train bathroom, she had pulled herself together and put on a strong face before going to find a compartment. There hadn't been any empty ones, but she had found one in with two girls who seemed to be about her age, and an older boy who had turned out to be a year above her and the brother of one of the girls. They had let her join them, and it had been a nice, if somewhat quiet trip. When they had gotten off the train, Daisy had clung to the other two girls, following them into the boats. After they had been lead inside, she had lost sight of one of them, the blonde girl whose been curled. Because of this, she now had a tight hold on the other girl's arm. Daisy was terrified, and she wasn't have an easy time of not showing it. She was positively shaking, and she looked at the girl with her lip trembling, "What if I don't get sorted?" Her voice was barely above a whisper. It was highly unlikely that the hat would tell her she wasn't supposed to be here, and to go home. But still, the fear was there. She didn't want to disappoint her mother. What if she was sorted into the wrong house? Or wasn't good at doing magic at all? She felt tears stinging at the corners of her eyes and so she rubbed them away, staring at the ground as the Professor returned for them. Clutching the arm of the girl next to her, she followed the group into the great hall. What if she wasn't in the same house her mother had been? Would her mother be upset? No, that was ridiculous. After all, while her mother had been in Ravenclaw, Daisy didn't feel like it would have been a proper fit. So she fidgeted as the group stopped, and listened to a hat sing a rather pleasant song. Her hands were shaking and she was on the verge of tears when she finally heard her name. "Daisy Hookum!" She gave a jump, before letting go of the girl's arm and slowly inching through the crowd to the stool. She climbed on it, watching as the student's faces she was timidly looking at disappeared under the brim of the hat. "Hm, interesting. Mother was in Ravenclaw, but you don't feel that it's a proper fit, do you? No, you're a smart girl but I would have to agree. Hufflepuff you say? No, you have a kind heart and a good spirit but there is something under the surface that you don't see. Which would make it...""Gryffindor!"Daisy jumped as the hat yelled the last part, positively falling off the chair after the hat had been removed. Gryffindor? A brave Gryffindor? No, that wasn't right. She hurried away from the stool anyway, scared that she would have to be sorted again if she took too long. The table was easy to find as her new housemates cheered, and she sunk down at the end, glancing over at the brown haired boy next to her. The four boys she sat near had been rather involved in a conversation when they had first walked in, and she'd seen them on the train. They seemed loud, which was something she wasn't fond of. So she turned her gaze back towards the sorting, wanting to avoid any sort of conversation the boys might attempt to start.

Gryffindor Table Charlotte was anxious, waiting for her name to be called. Although her parents had told her there was no wrong House to be sorted into, the girl felt it a lie. They’d been terribly put-out at getting Rufus' first letter, finding out that he’d been made a lion, of all things. Charlotte, tucked away in a reading nook, had heard the rant...and now her thin arms were wrapped protectively around herself, Daisy’s absence oddly, keenly, felt, as she worried about where she would be told she belonged. The other first year had become attached to her since the train, and although she wasn’t used to it, Char had found trying to put the girl’s mind at ease helping her as well. Her worries about not getting sorted? She’d had them herself, but - “You wouldn’t have gotten your letter otherwise! It’s going to be all right, we’re all here for a reason.” She’d laid her free hand on the girl’s arm as they entered the Great Hall, feeling her tremble with every step. Char shot her a look of concern, absolutely at a loss of what to do, but tightened her own grip on her, hoping that she was providing some form of comfort. But all too soon, it seemed, the girl was called up - Daisy - and reluctantly let her go. Charlotte gave her an encouraging smile and clasped her suddenly empty hands behind her, curious as to where she would wind up. When the hat yelled Gryffindor, Char clapped along with the others - it was a fine House (not that merits couldn’t be found within each), and hopefully would help the girl gain some confidence… Char listened as the names were called, waiting as the group started to shrink as they neared the center of the alphabet. Her heart picked up as Professor McGonagall began the M’s, and soon enough - "Meyers, Charlotte!"The young girl walked steadily to the stool, doing her best to put away the thought that she was on display in front of the entire student and teacher body, that her parents would likely be so disappointed in her House, and thankfully the eyes at least were all soon blocked from her view by the hat. Her fingers fidgeted in her lap, toying with the seams of her new school robes, as she heard a voice start to echo in her mind. Charlotte Meyers...what am I going to do with you...Slytherin and Gryffindor for your family thus far, that brother of yours breaking tradition...but what to do with you...From the reading I’ve done on the matter, and what my brother’s told me about them - although he feels them terribly dull - I’ve felt Ravenclaw would be a good fit. That would be much too obvious, Miss Meyers. Yes, yes - you’ve an aptitude for academia, but there’s more to you than that...if you’re brave enough to let it out. I’m going to give you a challenge - I trust you will rise to it.With that the great hat bellowed, " GRYFFINDOR!" and the young girl sat mutely as she heard cheering veritably explode from the table of gold-and-red clad students. There must have been some mistake - she couldn't possibly be a Gryffindor! But she heard her brother whistling above the crowd, and as the hat was lifted from her head, she had to smile at that, at least. Charlotte made her way to her new House table, finding a seat next to the redheaded girl who’d become attached to her - they were now to be roommates, she supposed - after getting an excited hug from Rufus. Never having been one for much affection, but caught up in the throws of things, Char took Daisy’s hand, smiling as she let herself appreciate the excitement of this moment as it dawned on her. She had followed her brother, and she felt a bit of what had to be Gryffindor pride at that, showing detachment from the members of her family she’d felt less connected to. This was proof that there was something different with her - and although it wouldn’t be easy, as she could see her sister Violet determinedly not clapping from her place with the Slytherins, she was glad to have a new sort of start. Her years here would be what she made of them, after all - and it was time for her to take charge. "Told you that you’d get sorted," she quietly teased her new roommate, giving her hand a squeeze. "Who would’ve thought we’d both wind up here?"

The last of the three Peasegood children was finally on the Hogwarts grounds.
Arnie had been waiting for this his whole life, it felt, and now that he was actually seeing the castle...better than words, written or spoken.
He'd been a kid to read and read and read, the content varying week to week - obsessions ranged from dinosaurs to superheroes to how-to's of mechanics - as his parents or siblings were dragged by the hand to their local library on the daily. He'd been found at his siblings' school books over their holidays, just wanting to know. There wasn't much to do at home but read outside of school, but what had begun out of necessity of curing boredom had become a happy habit. So he knew the facts about the school, of course - but this was just...I'm here. Suddenly, among all of the jostling in the Entrance Hall, the not-yet-students unable to keep still (as if he was innocent of this), a girl was speaking to him. Rapidly. Arnie slowly grinned as her questions didn't stop - usually he was the one to bundle questions like that - and once she'd paused long enough to take a breath, let out a laugh. "I'm Arnie," he began, giving her a wide grin. "And it shouldn't take too long, I've heard it seems like it does, though - all the suspense. " He laughed again, glad to have some welcome company. His thin chest puffed slightly as he continued. "And I'm set on Ravenclaw - Mum was in it, and my brother and sister are in Hufflepuff, but I think I'm a fit. Good you're open minded, I suppose - and yeah, they all seem pretty cool, no bad place to end up. Oh!" The boy laughed, realizing his flub - "And what's your name?" He was happy to continue talking with the fun girl chatty as himself until the professor reappeared and as much of a silence as could be amongst a large group of eleven-year-olds fell. Although Arnie had heard all about the school from his siblings and mother, there was an undeniable sense of wonder that still overcame him as he stepped into the Great Hall. He shot the girl a grin as she gasped, glad that she seemed just as excited as him, and was looking everywhere as he walked with the group, finding himself at the edge. There was just so much to see - the sky - the floating candles - all of the older students -
He felt a tug on his robes after a while and turned to see his brother and sister waving to him from the Hufflepuff Table; red-faced, he broke into a wider grin before turning forward. And thus, with the same jostling as when they'd been outside...began the wait.

Carolyn was having difficulty not hyperventilating. Not only would her brother give her a hard time about it if he managed to see her amidst the rest of the first years, but it would surely label her as a freak within her own year, and no one would like spending time with her even if she was planning on lying about her background the first chance she got. She was unable to see a problem with it.
As a child she had never had many lasting friendships, much less any that she was sad to see go when they did. She preferred her books and her silence - it seemed that other children never felt the same way, and would become frustrated with her when she refused to play red rover.
Honestly though, was there really a point to running a short distance and trying to break through the arms of two heavy boys?
She decided that no, there was not, and the boys she happened to come across in her novels were more manageable interesting anyhow. They valued intellect and confidence over pride and strength. She wondered if the boys at Hogwarts were more similar to the latter. Although, if she was being truthful, Boys stood for Boring. Girls were just so glamorous and always ready for a new adventure or at the very least, interested in meeting new people. Caro knew that she wouldn't be ready for any kind of adventure that forced her out of her comfort zone, but she had been doing some reading recently and perhaps that blonde girl from before would be open to-
Her thoughts about the gorgeous girl were shattered as the austere woman started to call out names. Students took their places on a stepping stool in front of a long row of old people and...a...
A hat?
Carolyn's eyes widened when she realized that - not only was it speaking but it was in charge in placing them into one of the houses they had all been told about earlier! This was absolute madness and she made a quick note in her mental diary to demand her brother to explain more about this castle. If he hadn't considered a singing and talking hat to be of importance than she was sure there were more interesting and exciting things happening than she was aware of.
In what felt like an hour later, after she had seen dozens upon dozens of other students being sorted, it was finally her turn. She walked straight up before turning to the crowd, and as she started to sit down she looked hopefully at the table clad in green robes. Joseph was over there somewhere, she was sure that if she could just get sorted in the same house as him, everything would be just fine-
"RAVENCLAW!"
The Sorting Hat had barely touched her head and she had no clue where she was meant to go. What colour did Ravenclaw wear? Dazedly she stood up and stepped off the platform, heading to the left where the cheering seemed to be the loudest. She received a couple of odd glances from the older students wearing red and she stopped in her tracks, awkwardly turning to walk back to the table wearing blue. Caro was slapped on the back a couple times but she kept her head down as the last first year was sorted. All she wanted to do was block out the voice of that chatty boy from before so that she could think of a way to switch houses...

This was all far too exciting, it was hard for Pandora to focus on any one thing. Luckily, the boy who introduced himself as Arnie was able to keep her attention for a few moments as he discussed what house he was hoping to be sorted into. Pandora nodded along with his words, excited that someone else was just as excited about the whole ordeal as she was. "I'm Pandora! Ravenclaw sounds interesting, both my parents were in Ravenclaw, but I'm not sure if I'll end up there. It would be neat though, following after my parents."
Soon after, they were walking through the doors, and Pandora's eyes were amazed by the floating candles and the roof that was mimicking the sky outside. Her parents had bought her a ton of books about Hogwarts, as she had practically insisted. She'd spent the first few years of her life in muggle schools, and while she had at first been dissapointed that she was going to Hogwarts, she was now more fascinated that ever.
The sorting had begun, and Pandora watched with wide eyes as a talking hat placed people in houses. The blonde girl from earlier was being sorted, and Pandora clapped enthusastically as she was sorted into Ravenclaw. The girl seemed confused, and Pandora couldn't blame her. After all, it was a tad overwhelming to try and figure out which house you were meant to go to after the sorting was done.
"Nott, Pandora!"
Giving a gasp, Pandora squeezed through the few remaining first years and skipped up to the stool, climbing on it excitedly. Once the hat was on her head, and the world was blocked on, Pandora was delighted as it had a conversation. With her! It didn't take long before the hat came to a decision.
"RAVENCLAW!"
Giving a delighted laugh, Pandora slide off the stool and skipped over to the table full of blue who were cheering her arrival. She sunk down next to the girl from earlier, frowning as she noticed her head was down and she wasn't paying much attention to the sorting. Was she alright? Giving a sigh, she turned to watch the rest of the sorting.

It had been a bit daunting to be one of the first people to be sorted. But, in all honesty, Daisy was glad that it was over. It was nice to be able to sit and relax at the table, even if the group of boys next to her was a bit rowdy for her tastes. It was almost hard to hear the sorting over their snickering and joking, but Daisy did her best to ignore them as she saw the girl she had met on the train head up to the sorting hat.
She clapped excitedly with the rest of her new house as the girl - Charlotte - was sorted into Gryffindor. She waved furiously as her new friend approached the table, grinning as the other girl received a hug from her brother. It must be exciting to be in the same house as her sibling. She held out her hand to her new roommate, pleased when the other girl took it and sat down next to her at the table.
"Yes, you did. I don't know why I was so worried. But I'm happy we are both in the same house, and in Gryffindor!" she responded with delight, returning the squeeze to Charlotte's hand. Giving a small nod to the boys next to her, she rolled her eyes, "These boys over here are positively obnoxious." She shook her head, before using a free hand to pull anxiously on one of her braids. Now that they were sorted, things were starting to become ever more apparent. This was it, it was school. They would have classes and grades, and they had to navigate the castle by themselves!
"What if we get lost on the way to classes? Do you think they will kick us out?"

Melody stared in awe at the school around her. She couldn’t wait to tell her father all about it, her mother had promised not talk about it to her dad so Melody could. She’d sat with a bunch of other new students on the train who were just as excited as she was. She felt her stomach turn over, and she heard her name get called by the woman who'd led them in here. Wait, was she first? Had someone else gone? She’d been paying way too much attention to the castle. She jogged up to the stool and sat down eagerly. The hat was placed on her head and it took all her energy not to make it happen faster. The hat dropped over her eyes, and she wondered why they designed a hat for children that was too big. How often did adults wear the hat? “Quite a lot going on in that head of yours.”“Why thank you.”“Mother was a Hufflepuff I see… However…”“What’s wrong with Hufflepuff?”“Oh nothing, I just think there’s a better house for you.”“But what-”“GRYFFINDOR!” She was a little surprised to hear that, but stood up proudly anyway. She faced the table of clapping students clad in red and gave them a huge grin. She ran over to the table and grabbed the first empty spot she saw. She looked around at the people around her, there was no one there that she recognized. She simply watched in fascination as students were sorted into different houses. Soon she was joined by a number of people, one ‘Hookum, Daisy’ and another ‘Meyers, Charlotte’. The two seemed to already know each other, but she hadn’t sat with them on the train, which she assumed they had. She wasn’t one to listen in, but couldn’t help but hear Daisy ask a question about them being kicked out for getting lost. She certainly hoped not! “I hope not. But what if they give us detention? It totally wouldn’t be fair, I mean this place is huge.”

Charlotte was entirely unused to the sort of affection that Daisy was giving her - waving her over to the table, all smiles, holding her hand so warmly - but grateful for it; the other girl's hand in hers was steadying as the fact that she was in Gryffindor tried to make a space for itself in her mind. She nodded, peeking over at the group of boys Daisy was lamenting about. They looked about her brother's age, all moans about not having eaten yet and this not having taken so long before and they never looked as little as the ickle firsties did now... Her attention was drawn back to Daisy at the other's worries, but before she could pipe in another girl spoke up with a similar worry. "I expect there will be some help for us until we get accustomed to living here, I can't imagine there would be that drastic of consequences for something that would surely happen to everyone," Charlotte began in an undertone, hoping that this was the case. It would be the epitome of embarrassing to have to continuously ask Rufus about finding this class or that, and while he seemed delighted that she was joining his House, Char knew he wouldn't want her tailing him all the time. She clapped along diligently as her new classmates were Sorted, but gave a small smile to the brown haired girl near herself and Daisy - another new roommate, seeing how ill at ease she was about the layout of the castle as well. "I'm Charlotte, by the way." Although she was glad to be at Hogwarts, as they sat and greeted new housemates, clapped for their new classmates, Charlotte found the initial excitement of her Sorting fading as her new reality sunk in around her. She was away from home, away from all that was familiar - besides her siblings, that is; she was going to share a space with a handful of girls she'd never before met, and while everyone was seeming lovely thus far, it was going to be quite a large change from having all of her own things to sharing even the room she slept in; her eldest sibling kept throwing daggers over at Rufus and herself from the Slytherin Table...
It had been a long day, with so much newness, and while she wanted to better keep up with the conversations going on around her, Char was ready to head up to bed. She hid a yawn in her elbow, sending a sheepish smile towards her new roommates. (ooc: whoops again for the delay, and please excuse the inconsistencies in here with our dear Charlotte - the Meyers --> Fudge transition happened after her first post here, so now her being Sorted after Daisy doesn't make sense...whoopswhoopswhoops)

Waiting was agony in its purest form. Whoever was in charge of the dictionary could take out the definition of "agony" and put in its place a picture of this. He and the other incoming first years were all crowded together, all had to go through this ceremony with a magical talking hat (which he was, undoubtedly, extremely excited for - hence the agony that was the waiting) one-by-one, and it was taking a year for anything to happen! Being a Peasegood, he had to wait until about half of the others were Sorted, and even then it didn't seem like much of a dent had been made in the group. He tried to keep a mental tally of where his new classmates were headed, curious about how even the House distribution would be (was it rigged somehow?), and that helped keep some of his nerves at bay. For while he knew he'd try to make the best of wherever he wound up, he really wanted to be in Ravenclaw. Being stuck in Hufflepuff with his sister and brother? That was not in the plan. So when his name was called in its entirety - gotta get them calling me Arnie, Arnold is an old man's name - the gangly boy loped up to the stool, and his dark eyes were shut to block everything out before the hat was fully over his head. Here we are, another Peasegood...Oi, don't say that like it's a bad thing. Dreadfully hurt now, I am.I promise you'll survive. But perhaps not with your siblings - no, no, given them too much grief to belong in Hufflepuff...Right, so - one out of three is donezo, fine with that. You're thinking the right one for me, I know you are, spit it out, would you?Just for that, I'll "ponder" a while more, Mr. Peasegood.Oh come on -"RAVENCLAW!"Knew it.A grin stretching across his face, Arnie was rid of the funny hat. He shot a salute in the general direction of his siblings before bounding to the table erupting in cheer. Nice sort of greeting, could get used to this. Arnie eagerly joined the part of the table most of the first years had gravitated towards, shaking hands and exchanging pleasantries with the lot...before being shushed by an upperclassman. He gave a roll of his eyes, he wasn't being any louder than anyone else, but as he turned to watch the Sorting he saw the excitable blonde girl he'd been speaking to earlier coming over! He gave a wave, glad that he at least kind of knew someone well enough to welcome them to the House. "Ravenclaw after all, Pandora," Arnie teased with a good natured laugh once she'd sat down. "What d'you think so far? Not too bad, eh?"

How was she going to keep up this charade that Joseph had laid out for them if she wasn’t in the same house as him? Coming to a new school she didn’t know anything about was stress enough, but having to pretend as if she had grown up with this sort of magic around her since she was young just added to the pressure in an extreme amount. She loved her brother, but how could he be forcing her to behave in such a dishonest way? More and more students joined the table she was sat at, and Carolyn knew that she should be making small talk with them...Joseph was probably watching to make sure she did as well...but she couldn’t bring herself to it just yet. She was an introvert, and she knew that she did her best thinking when she was just left to her own devices. There was too much noise for her to relax now. The pretty blonde girl from before sat down right next to her and her cheeks turned red. You’re just nervous about everything, not just about the blonde girl...don’t think on it too much...She didn’t know why she next to her, but now was a good a time as any to introduce herself, ”Hi, my name is Carolyn.” She hoped that the girl was going to be nice. Her being nice would make a lot of nerves calm down within her belly. ”I heard it be called before, of course, but could you remind of your name?”

To finally be at Hogwarts was amazing, and to be sorted into Ravenclaw? Even better. This was everything she had ever dreamed of, and she was quite lost in her thoughts as the sorting continued. An older blonde haired girl nudged her, pulling her out of her thoughts with a smirk. “Are you related to Bronwyn Nott?” Pandora looked to where the girl was pointing to see a group of girls staring her down from the table where they were all wearing green. Slytherins. Giving a shrug, she was soon left to her own thoughts until Arnie joined her at the table. “Oh no I think it’s quite lovely, I’m excited for us to be housemates!” she exclaimed to the boy sitting across from her. She was quite excited for the feast, she’d heard stories about how the plates would magically fill up with food. Mostly she was hoping there would be dessert as well. Pudding was the best part of any meal! It seemed the sorting was almost over, and Pandora turned to the girl sitting next to her who had decided to introduce herself. “Hi Carolyn! My name is Pandora,” she said with a smile, her excitement growing with each passing second of being at the school. “I suppose we will be dorm mates won’t we?”

Hogwarts, his new home for the next seven years. At least part time, he’d be living within these walls. He was already missing his parents - but he’d grown up on their stories of this place. So far he’d kept to himself, reading on the train and not really interacting with his fellow first years as they made their way from the train to the castle. It was much more fun to watch them, see who was excited and who looked like they were going to be sick. And having the last name Bobbin meant he was practically one of the first people sorted, besides Anderson, Melody, a pretty girl who also had been sorted into Gryffindor. He’d never even considered that he might be in any other house besides Gryffindor, with both his parents being having been proud lions. But the sorting ceremony was drawing to a close, and he was listening in to the conversation of the girls that had joined him and Melody at the table. “My dad says the staircases move, how are we supposed to account for that?” he asked into the group, after the red headed one had introduced herself to the other two. “And my mum says potions are in the dungeons which sounds horrible.”

The girl that had been sorted first - Melody - was chiming into the conversation, her mind seemingly on the same track as Daisy’s. Getting a detention on her first day here would be absolutely awful, but the friend she had made on the train was quick to assure her that there had to be some sort of help. Charlotte was properly introducing herself, and Daisy felt her face grew red as she realized she had neglected to ever properly give her name! So much for starting off with good manners. “I’m Daisy,” she added in, grinning as she looked between the two girls. Seeing as they were all in same year and same house, it must mean that these two girls would be her dormmates. And not just for this year - but for all seven that they would be in school! “What do you think the dorms look like? I want to decorate but I don’t even know what I would decorate with.”
The sorting was getting close to being done with a boy who had been sitting near them chimed in. She had seen him get sorted, although she had to admit she hadn’t paid much attention to his name. “What do you mean the staircases move?” she asked quietly, eyes growing wide as she thought about it. This was a castle that they had to learn to navigate, it didn’t make any sense for things like stairs to move. Except of course, in a magical castle, which obviously was exactly what this place was. “I’m not going to make it through the first week.”
