Back Story: Remus Lupin was born to Lyall and Hope Lupin on a day like any other. His parents had quite a wonderful love story that he loved to hear his mother tell as he was growing up. And for the first five years nothing was ever out of the ordinary in the Lupin house. Unforunately, that all changed on night in 1965. Remus’ father, Lyall, worked at the Ministry of Magic and there had been a particularly nasty exchange between him and a man named Fenrir Greyback. Remus was never sure if his father new of Fenrir’s condition before that night, as it was never something that was discussed. It was a clear night, with a bright full moon, and a terrified little boy running through the yard away from a wolf of proportions he didn’t understand. Remus doesn’t remember much of that night other that the screams of his mother. His next memories involve doctors, and his mother weeping while his father held her tight.It only took a month to realize why. Remus was bitten, and everything changed. His parents look for a cure, determined to revert the curse that he had been dealt. Sadly, there wasn’t much hope.
And so childhood because a life of solitude. Books were his friends, they never lived anywhere too long due to his condition. People would start to catch on that the little boy that lived next door wasn’t quite right.It was the biggest fear of Lyall and Hope that Remus would never be able to attend Hogwarts due to his special circumstances. Quite luckily, however, Remus was very blessed to have a man named Albus Dumbledore who saw that it was quite necessary for him to attend school and that his medical issues were no problem what so ever.It was that first year on the train he met his friends, a pair of boys who seemed a little overwhelming, as well as a mousey sort of fellow who was quite pleasant and a bit shy. Remus was never sure how they became such a group, but it wasn’t long before was rarely seen without the two boys around him. Of course, the condition was a little difficult to hide. For a long time his friends were led to believe that his mother was very ill and that he went to visit her once a month. Of course, friends always find out the truth.
It was in their second year that his friends figured out the truth, and much to Remus’ surprise accepted him despite his furry little friend. Since then, Remus has done has best to keep the boys in check and make sure they don’t blow up the school. To be fair, he enjoyed the escapades just as much as they did, although he would never admit it. While in school, Remus was made a prefect of the Gryffindor house. He always assumed that it was because Dumbledore believed he could keep an eye on his two friends and control them, but quite frankly Remus had no control over them at all.
Of course, the last year was slightly rougher on the gang, and he hadn't quite forgiven Sirius for pulling that prank on Snape. While Severus was not a fine person in any sort of means, Remus secret had been exposed and he had been livid for some time. In fact, he was still miffed, although he tried his best not to let it bother him. There were much bigger things to worry about.

Style/Other characteristics: Remus is quite simple. Jumpers, corduroy pants, and fun socks with loafers. Nothing too complicated about it, and it kept him comfortable when he often felt out of place for being too tall. His brown hair has flecks of grey, which go quite well with the bags under his eyes and scars on his face, if you know the truth. Otherwise, Remus often just seems like he is tired, which is very true.

Remus is a gentle soul, the kind of person that you can just look at them and know they are genuinely nice. Of course, that doesn’t stop him from getting into his fair share of trouble. While Remus isn’t a trusting person, he is a compassionate person and loves to be there for the people he cares about. While in school, he would often force his friends to sit in the common room and complete their homework, even if he was going to end up fixing it for them later. He is incredibly loyal to his friends, and would die before he would let anything happen to either one of them.
While in school, Remus was often involved in the pranks his friend played, occasionally even the leader in some of their adventures. After all, you don't think they knew all the secrets route out of the school on their own. While Remus may have disapproved of some of their actions, he would always tag along to make sure no one was too seriously hurt.
Remus is quiet, especially now that they have finished school and started to move on with their lives. It's hard to find his place in the world, as most jobs in the wizarding world won't accept his condition and it would be complicated to find a muggle job after spending so much time outside of it. Due to this Remus has retreated more into his shell, content with spending the time outside of the Order in his flat with his books and his tea.
