My name is Emmeline, but most people call me Em - or Emmy, but only my closest friends call me that. Okay, and sometimes my mother calls me by my middle name Cara, but really just call me Em. The basics you should know is that I’m a Capricorn - me birthday is the 12th of January if you need to know the specifics - I grew up in The Pale, and I have the cutest little brother. We’re seven years apart and Jake is just so important to me. I don’t care if he hasn’t shown any signs of magic, he’s magic to me. Me ole wan is a muggle, and me ole fella’s mum is a muggle too, and that’s why I do what I do. Pureblood enlists can kiss my ass.

First Year: 1971 - 1972
Oh first year, this year was so fun! I mean for starters I met this total muppet on the train - she ended being in Slytherin so I can’t say I’m surprised - and then while we were waiting to be sorted these two jerks that also ended up being in Slytherin were being mean to this other kid, look at me I’m rambling. Anyway, I wasn’t about to stand for that so I confronted them. Let’s see what else happened that year…

Summer 1972
The summer after first year was wicked, I spent the first week of the summer with Stebbins in Manchester, and then the second week he came to me gaff in The Pale. We got into all sorts of trouble, and Jake just loved Zach. Those two got along great and Jake didn’t even want to hang out with me the rest of the summer, kept asking for “Tack”. Ended up making the trip down to Diagon Alley more than once that summer to bring Jake to the Quidditch store so he could see his new best friend.

Second Year: 1972 - 1973
The sorting ceremony was so fun to watch instead of be a part of, and there were such cute little first years! This was the year I met Sylvia and we bonded so quickly. She is such a doll, and with her around I even got back into some hobbies I had been neglecting.

Third Year: 1973-1974
Oh this was the year we were finally able to go to Hogsmeade and started picking electives. I decided to take them all besides Ancient Runes, although I really regretted taking CoMC. I mean Professor Kettleburn is one really cool dude, floating around in a wheelchair and what not, but I’m not any better at taking care of magical creatures than I am at taking care of none magical ones. I asked Elliot Thomas to go with me on the first trip to Hogsmeade, and he’s a nice bloke and all but it was super uncomfortable.

I didn’t totally bomb all my O.W.L.’s - except Care of Magical Creatures. It was a really nice summer.

Sixth Year: 1976 - 1977
It was also the year I finally dropped some classes I didn’t care about. I really wanted to do something to help the world after school, with the crazy war and all going on. But I could never do well enough in school to be an Auror, and my dad quickly talked me out of being an Oblivator. Accidental Magic sounds pretty lame I know but it’s a foot in the door at the Ministry. Besides, there are rumors that the Aurors aren’t the only ones fighting.

This was the first summer I was of age, and boy that freedom was nice. No longer having to tag along with my dad to his job at the Ministry if I wanted to go to London. I took a part-time job up again this summer to save money. It was so crazy to think this was our last summer before graduation and going out into the real world. And all sorts of terrible shite happened this summer of course, with a war basically being around every corner. 

Seventh Year: 1977 - 1978
First off, James Potter and Lily Evans were Head Boy and Head Girl which was absolutely hilarious, but no one was terribly surprised when they eventually started dating. Well maybe some people were surprised, but after knowing James for so long at this point I wasn’t. Dumbledore approached my towards the end of the year and offered me a job - and I wasn’t about to turn it down.
