Friday, 15 September 1967 “Can’t believe we’ve got practice on Sunday, it’s not like Slytherin’s team is any good,” Fabian lamented to his brothers as they strolled across the castle grounds. The fourth year Gryffindor was pleased to be back at school, but not amused with the amount of work they’d already received. He’d always heard that fifth year was the hardest, so why did the Professors already insist on giving them so much homework? Not to mention the extra Quidditch practice, they’d only been back for two weeks. It was at least the weekend, with Friday afternoons free from classes. “Could you two walk any slower? All the good spots will be gone if you don’t hurry.” The weather was still nice for Scotland, and before long the lake would be frozen and the grounds cold. They needed to enjoy this while they still had a chance! But it seemed luck was on their side, as two familiar redheads were already settled in by the lake as they got close. Molly and Arthur were in their last year of school, and after they’d finally gotten together last year they seemed to always be around each other. If they were lucky, it meant Molly was going to marry a pretty swell guy after school. Arthur was an odd one, with an interest in muggles that Fabian didn’t have - but he was a good guy. He made Molly happy, which was really what was important. “Hey lovebirds!” he shouted in greeting, jogging the last few steps before he plopped down in the grass besides them. “Hey Arthur, you’re going to come to our first game of the season right? We’re putting in extra practices so we’re bound to beat Slytherin in the first match.” Being a part of the team was something he was proud of, and it had certainly started to get them some attention from the girls in their year. Everyone loved a Quidditch player, didn’t they? And being a beater was so much fun, even if sometimes it required taking a bludger for a teammate.

"Hello, boys," Arthur greeted warmly, unhurriedly, as the trio of Gryffindors joined him and Molly. Although he'd known the Prewett family since he'd been Sorted - which he'd never stop thanking his lucky stars for, seeing as it'd put him and Molly together - and had been dating the love of his life for going on a year now, the seventh year was nonetheless tickled by Fabian's checking in about his attending their match. Fabian, right? He gave the speaker a bit more of a look, finding the recognizable quirks that he'd learned told the identical twins apart, and his smile broadened. Yes - yes, righto, it was Fabian. He had brothers of his own, older, and it really was the bee's knees that the Prewett lads had taken to him in such a similar way. They were wonderful boys, and he'd been so proud of them for accomplishing what they wanted to in getting on their House team last year. He wasn't about to disappoint them now! "I wouldn't miss it. What do you say, Molly dear? Come with me?" He gave the beautiful girl a wide grin, tickling her side before laying back on the grass with his hands behind his head, looking up to the swaying branches above them in contentment. This was their last fall on these grounds, and Arthur wanted to dedicate each day to memory. Well - the important bits of each day, moments like these. Surrounded by loved ones, the autumn sun clouded enough to give them warmth but not blind them, and the grass soft and lush yet... This was what it was all about.

"Yes, of course. I have to go, who else will scream at them when they are being poor?" Molly said cheekily, not at all bothered that her quiet moment with her love was interrupted by her brothers. She and Arthur had forever together after all. She smiled over at him, reaching out without thought and running her fingers through his hair just as he reached out and tickled her. The only female red-head of the group doubled over at an odd angle at once, laughing and swatting away her attacker's hands. He retreated easily and Molly was left with a giggle in her belly and a smile one just couldn't wipe away. She had loved Arthur for what felt like a very long time and now she could barely believe they had been a couple for nearly a year. At one time, she thought he would never notice her in that way, in the way she wanted. But she had happily been proven wrong on that account. As for her brothers, however: "I see you three are alone," she commented casually, cutting them a sly look out of the corner of her eye before reclining back and turning her face to the sun. She had always known the twins and her adoptive sibling were going to be catches one day, she didn't know that one day would be so soon. But alas, they played Quidditch now, which was a shoo-in for certain types of girls, and of course, they were quite handsome and just great guys overall. She had made sure of that. Needless to say, the boys had been getting some particular attention and she was surprised there weren't at least two girls following them about.

"All the better to smoke them, my friend," Ed cajoled, purposely dragging his feet behind the twins at Fabian's nagging. What was the rush? They could make space for themselves anywhere, not as if the three of them weren't well liked by the general population. Those that matter, anyway. They'd been known to liven up many a calm afternoon in the common room or on the grounds, and been told off for it in study hall often enough - fourth year wouldn't be so different, not as if they'd lost their charm, eh? But the Gryffindor was nevertheless pleased when Fabs spied his sister and Arthur, lounging on the soft grass next to the couple with ease. Arthur was willing enough to come to the game, for which Ed was glad - sweet fellow, bit odd, but wouldn't hurt a fly - but he was appalled by Molly's less thrilling response. Surely his own siblings wouldn't be so unsupportive when they joined him, right? "I'm starting to think you've never paid attention to use when we fly, if that's your take," he teased, enjoying the natural go-between of Arthur and Molly. While they hadn't been together awfully long, for a Hogwarts relationship they were doing amazingly well, weren't they? At least a year together now, with no end in sight, and in the back of his mind, Edgar knew that a partnership like theirs was one that he wanted for himself. At least, sometime in the future, that's what he wanted. Now? It was fun to be carefree, to finally start getting noticed back by girls at school and start figuring out the dating scene. Speaking of - "Alone? Not for long, Molly - haven't you heard, I'm a Keeper?" He turned towards the gal with a shameless smirk showing just how pleased he was with himself for that one, breaking into a full-on grin before sitting up more fully again and looking around the shoreline. Nothing to lose, eh? With a whistle towards a gaggle of Hufflepuffs nearby, he shouted, "Oi - Mafalda! Wanna go to Hogsmeade next trip? I'm a Keeper!"
