It was nothing. There was no occasion, or reason really, he had just...planned a night. For him and his girl. Daisy. Just because. They had been dating for a couple of years now, they had seen the best of times and some hard ones too but right now, things were perfect. Peter wanted to take advantage of this time, to make good memories he would always have, and to remind his girlfriend that she was loved. And what better time than right now and around the Holiday season too. They were still a month away from Christmas but the spirit had begun to seep into the castle walls and Pete wanted to use that to his advantage. So, he had told Daisy to dress warmly this evening and to meet him in the common room at half past eight, with the knowledge that the rest of her night belonged to him. It was nearly the time and everything was in place, now he just needed to wait for his love. Something that he liked and didn't like. Liked but the anticipation always made seeing his little redhead better and didn't like, well, because it was annoying. Peter didn't have much patience for waiting around. But for Daisy, he would endure nearly anything. With that thought in mind, he reclined against the cushions of a chair situated next to the fire, immediately going to worrying at the holes in the arms of the old thing. Really, you would think Hogwarts could afford new furniture when it started to wear, but then again, the common room probably wouldn't be half as comfy. No, that wouldn't do. He liked too much to cuddle up with Daisy on the couches that seemed to suck you into themselves and hid you from the word for a good snogging session. Peter smiled thinking of all the times they had done that and all the times still to come. That's what tonight was all about really: a hats off to their relationship, past, present, and future. Just because.

Common Room. Half past eight.
What are you up to Peter Pettigrew? Daisy wasn’t going to complain about a night alone with her boyfriend, but she did have to wonder what he had up his sleeve. She dressed warm as he had told her to, and was just putting the finishing touches on her makeup as her dorm mates chatter filled the room. Even after two years, Peter still found ways to surprise her. She had often wondered as a child how people didn’t grow bored of relationships, as she’d never seen her mother date anyone for a long period of time. Now that she was older, she understood. There was no one who could replace her father in her mother’s heart, just as there was no one who could replace Peter’s place in Daisy’s heart. And yes, there were still young, but they were in love. There was nothing that could ever separate them, that she was sure of. “Okay girls, don’t wait up,” she said as she finished her makeup, giving them a grin and a wave as she left the room. Bounding down the stairs, Peter was easy to spot, and she gave him a grin as she headed over, plopping herself into her favorite spot - his lap. “Hey there handsome,” she said, before leaning forward to place a kiss on his lips. “I’ve been excited about this all day - could hardly focus in Potions. Not that Slughorn seemed to notice, but he never notices much of anything unless you excel at Potions.” She wanted to sit there and make herself comfortable on his lap, the cozy warmth from the fire a temptation to just have a quick snog right then and there. But she was far too excited about what Peter’s plans were to sit still for too long, and was soon on her feet and extending her hand toward him. “Do I get any hints as to what our plans are?”

“Hey, there beautiful.” Ah, Daisy in his lap, one of his favorite pastimes. His wait for their special night was over! She appeared suddenly to him, as he had been lost in thoughts of her and his plans for their night, surprising him with the quickness in which she hopped of the stairs to the girl’s dorm and settled her weight in his lap. It was a good surprise. He adjusted her a bit, one hand on her leg, one on her bum, naturally. And when she kissed him, he leaned in, always wanting more. Dais pulled back and he sighed, resting back again against the holes, tattered armchair. It was never enough for him, he would always want more but tonight, tonight he had plans, and at least for right now, he needed to be thinking with the right head. “Anyone who doesn’t notice you is blind.” he told her, giving her a once over. She was a knockout, with long beautiful red hair, a rocking body, an amazing smile and a hundred other things that made her stand out that you couldn’t see on the surface. Slughorn was barely a man if he passed over Daisy Hookum like she wasn’t there.
Peter patted his girlfriend’s leg and gave her a mischievous smirk. “No ma’am.” he teased, following her out of the chair and taking up her hand. “No hints.” No, this was a complete surprise, she would know soon enough. He would not tell her anything! But… ”You can guess.” he offered, wiggling his eyebrows at her as they exited the common room. It would be good to hear her thoughts, she would guess things that she would like to do, so that way he had some idea of what she would like for next time. Though, it was unlikely she would figure out his exact plans, she probably already knew a something. He wouldn’t have asked her to dress warmly if they weren't going outside right? That was obvious, but the rest still should be a complete mystery to her, and that was half the fun of these date nights. “Go on, I’ll tell you if you’re right.”
