Avoid the Department of Magical Transportation at all costs! I just gave the most dull witch in Europe a tour and now she's meeting with someone in Broom Regulations and she's likely to be there all day, judging by how slow she spoke. Merlin help you if you have to give her directions to the loo or lifts. I'd bet a sickle your day is going better than mine.

Dora - Thank you for the alert. I will have to take the opposite bet even though, blessedly, the public cannot enter our Department. All I can tell you is that where I currently am, it is so deadeningly dull that your memo caused a proper stir. If I had been someone without the capacity to earn above a T on any O.W.L. or N.E.W.T., perhaps I would have been better prepared to endure this tedium. As it is, an active mind is proving to be a curse in my current position, and it has only been a day. I do not know what is more frustrating - that there are limitless productive means through which I could be spending my time, all within reach (except for the fact that they are above my pay grade), or my actual pay grade.
If you do not already have plans for lunch, perhaps I could join you in the Atrium and you can direct me to the least offensive sandwich available?

Sounds like you may need me to swing by, just to keep things exciting over there, but sadly, I've got more dullards to deal with. You're on your own until lunch. Apparently some genius hottie in the Dept. of Mysteries needs help from the sexy reception witch to find a proper sandwich, and that sounds right in line with my post description. I couldn't possibly refuse.
