Being the eldest had its perks. Miya loved being an older sister to Greta and Morina, almost as much as she loved rooting for the Wimbourne Wasps. From a young age, Quidditch was what was important at home. Their parents met because of Quidditch, and there were many years spent traveling with her parents and sisters to games. She never cared about her blood status, or about what Hogwarts house she would be sorted in. She cared that the Wasps won their games and that her sisters would come and share the big bed when they traveled. She loved the food that her mom and Greta would make, sharing a part of their heritage with the world when friends came to visit. Life was great, and as Hogwarts loomed closer, Miya began to worry that everything would change when she left.
Luckily, not much changed. She missed her sisters and parents, but she made new friends. She found she had a knack for potions and herbology, and spent her free time writing letters home to her sisters about the wonders of life in the castle. Miya was proud to be in Ravenclaw and proud to talk about her mother the Quidditch player. In her fourth year, she tried out for the team and made it on as a Seeker, much to the joy of her whole family. Miya was always quick on her feet and was also quick on a broom. She found that she loved playing as much as she loved watching, and spent a few years thinking she'd make a career out of it.
Until she volunteered in the hospital wing in her sixth year, something else to do to pass the time. She found that while Quidditch seemed to come naturally, nothing felt more natural to her than healing. She was good with her fellow students, especially the younger ones who were often scared of the magical remedies. She loved healing, and loved that she got to take care of people. She applied to be a healer-in-training upon graduation, and after her training year she was assigned to the spell damage floor as a junior healer.
