Back Story:
Clyde and Aoife Goyle had so many children that they were bound to lose track of a few of them from time to time. Clyde, a writer from Scotland who sold just enough copies of his books to keep publishers interested, didn't make enough money for a family seven to survive on alone. Aoife, the prettiest Irish lass from a small village no one had ever heard of, worked waitressing jobs to help supplement the family's income. They were happy, but busy, and their children grew up running about with the neighbor children in their quaint mostly-wizarding village in Ireland.
As the middle child of five, Taryn often felt overlooked. Her sister, Nessa, was the eldest of the siblings and by the time Taryn was old enough to be of any real fun for an older child to want to include in play, she was off to Hogwarts for the majority of the year. Her older brother, Finn, and their younger brother Cillian, were both loud and wild, preferring to wrestle and run about in a manner Taryn wasn't much interested in. And little Kieran, the baby of the family, seemed to have the same trouble as Taryn had at her age; she was off to Hogwarts by the time he was old enough to join her play. It was strange dynamics between the siblings, but she loved them all regardless, even if they weren't really all that close.
Taryn had a small social group when she finally went off to Hogwarts, where she was sorted into Hufflepuff along with none of the kids she considered friends before school. Although, having attended several large gatherings of pureblood families over the years there were many familiar faces in her new House just waiting to become friends, if she managed to ever speak with anyone. She was an average student, who didn't make trouble, drawing minimal attention from the professors who were often busy with the high achievers and the troublemakers. Overlooked yet again. By now, her sister had graduated and her older brother was busy with sports and romantic relationships to bother with Taryn. Finn wouldn't have brushed her off if she had come to him with anything, but that seemed like an overreaction for most situations and the quiet Hufflepuff often opted for managing her troubles herself.
The academics at Hogwarts were fine, Taryn did well enough in her classes to keep mostly As and a few Es in all of her subjects, but it was the elective courses and clubs that she really found an interest. She joined the Frog Choir, the Drama Club, and worked on the school paper as a photographer. Photo journalism was not her passion in the slightest, but it did allow her access the camera equipment, and she began her own art photography projects in her spare time. She asked her parents for a camera of her own in her fourth year and received a rather impressive camera considering her family was strictly low-middle class at best. Clyde and Aoife had evidently seen the joy photography brought to their reserved daughter and wanted to foster that expression of herself that hadn't seemed to blossom before then.
And she did blossom with photography, in her confidence and social circle.
Still reserved, Taryn started to branch out beyond her childhood friend group and started interacting more with students who had always been familiar faces at the parties her parents dragged them all to each year. She made friends in her own house, as well as others, and while she would never be confused for an outgoing extravert-type lass, she even began dating. Amongst other short-lived relationships was her off-and-on boyfriend, Ender. Another introvert artist who she shared quite a lot in common. It was their kindred spirits that seemed to always bring them back together after a break up and some time spent with other romantic partners, but by seventh year it seemed as though they were really done. She had a few more boyfriends throughout her final year at Hogwarts and after graduation Ender went to live in Wales with his family, and Taryn in Ireland with hers.
Life went on, and Taryn got a job working as a photographer at Shutterbutton's Photography. Taking portraits of families and wiggling babes did not soothe her artistic drive, and in her off time she can still be found hunting the perfect shot.

She plans to get more in the future, but figures she'll need to let her parents know before she comes home with anything too obvious.

If introvert could be introverted, that would be the best characteristic to describe Taryn. She has been known to be shy on occasion, but it's not necessarily a shyness that keeps her in the shadows and off to the side in a crowded room. She's not embarrassed or nervous about talking with people, she just prefers more quiet company and is perfectly content being by herself. She's not afraid to tell you off, if need be, and when she's amongst close friends she can even get wild and, dare we say, outgoing. But after a rowdy day of socializing, Taryn definitely needs to recharge her social battery by being alone with her camera. She is loyal and will fight for her friends, but is perfectly fine to let others take the lead.
