Back Story: As the youngest of the three Peasegood children, Arnie got away with a lot growing up. From playing tricks on Grace - she quickly learned to test her make-up somewhere other than her face - or Wes - he never learned to test his pens and quills for charms, goodhearted fool - to simply having more freedom, Arnie had a good run at home. This tendency has stayed with him during his years at Hogwarts, where an innocent smile and aptitude for potions has made for many an entertaining night within the Ravenclaw Common Room. With a mother as a mediwitch, the equivalent of the Muggle paramedic, and a father as a police officer, Arnie heard many seemingly-glamorous stories about their fast-paced careers as he grew up. He wants something for himself that will get his heart pounding twenty years into the job; he aspires to be a Hit Wizard, although that seems unrealistic now based on his impetuous nature and tendency to not take things seriously.Arnie is a bit of a trouble-maker, but it's his inquisitive nature that usually drives his exploits, as well as boredom since coursework is a breeze. Sneaking ingredients from Slughorn's stores is a usual Thursday afternoon endeavor, and the resulting potion - whether it be something from a book or an experiment of his own - is Friday night's entertainment.
He puts on innocent and endearing airs to professors, and is generally liked by adults in spite of his mischief. When it comes to his peers, Arnie hasn't bothered to build too many close relationships, and honestly hasn't found many he's wanted to befriend within his House. Many Ravenclaws are too serious for his liking, and he sometimes feels a bit of a misfit within the House except when looking at his grades. He's content with his own company for the majority of the time, although it is satisfying to plan a prank with somebody else so there's someone to laugh with - instead of at - afterwards. His best mate Benji Fenwick, a Ravenclaw in his year, has filled this role.
And as for girls, well - he had no qualms with flirting and appreciating a pretty girl. He had several casual relationships during his Hogwarts years, none going well until his sixth year, when he got to know Emmeline Vance. Things were…different, with her, a fantastic different, and he’s been lucky enough to keep her. And although she won’t be rejoining him at Hogwarts, he’s not too worried - they’ll have the summer, and she's staying in Hogsmeade for now. He'll graduate soon enough. They’ll make it, he’s sure.
