“If she comes to you again, come to me immediately, I’ll handle it. Don’t do anything brash.” Eddie told his sister, his voice a little wary. “I will.” She promised again and he shut his dorm door behind her without any further conversation. Sissy was a fierce girl –he feared of her “handling” anything- but Cookie was nothing but sweet and she had recently fallen victim to some bullying. Eddie was appalled. It was only her first year and they were barely into the second month of it. He meant what he said though, he would handle it, or get someone who could. As long as he didn’t let Sissy get involved it would be alright; she was likely to get herself expelled.
With a long suffering sigh Eddie dove into his bed, landing with a bounce on his stomach. Resolutely he tried pushing his sisters and their problems from his mind. It was nearing curfew and Cookie was safely in her dorm for the night, he would worry about fixing her little problem when he could actually do something about it. For now he needed to finish his Transfiguration homework. Eddie groaned into his pillow. Maybe he could just go to sleep? No, he wasn’t tired at all. Maybe a quick stroll in the corridors? No, he just didn’t feel like it. He didn't even feel like changing out of his uniform. Eddie couldn’t even muster up the inspiration to play his guitar; so he reluctantly got up and pulled his homework from his bag, along with an apple from breakfast which he happily bit into before setting to work.
He had barely gotten any of the essay done and hadn’t eaten half of his apple when the door opened. Eddie leaned forward to see around the wall of his little alcove and a sigh of relief escaped him. He smiled. “Doc. Thank god.” With a snap Ed closed his Transfiguration book and placed it on top of his freshly started paper. He made quick work of lying out on his side and then addressed his friend in the most dramatic fashion he could muster, his Scottish tilt very pronounced. “Please tell me you have come to entertain me, I find myself bored, and without my muse. What will I make of myself?”

Doc's night was not going poorly. Admittedly, it was difficult for a night to go poorly when most of it consisted of cozying up with Hestia in a broom cupboard by the kitchens. Eventually, they agreed it was time to head back to the burrow, and knowing that his snogging partner was just a few tunnels away wasn't doing much for keeping Doc's mind on track as he returned to his own dorm. His studies hadn't been a priority ever lately, but he supposed he should at least give that Transfiguration essay an attempt. Somehow he'd gotten to N.E.W.T. level in the subject, and Minerva would be pissed if he continued started slacking. It's not that the subject wasn't interesting, but it was so much work, and he liked spending time with people more than books... As he got into his dorm and Eddie was so relieved to see him, though, his halfhearted plan went quickly out of an ear. "Bored and without your muse?" Doc leapt onto his own bed, teasingly adapting his friend's posture and affect. "Why, wee lambkin, we must go search for her, of course! As lovely as they come, your muse is, and we've got to catch her before she gets too far!" He shot a grin at his roommate, knocking lightly on his trunk (containing, among other things, a healthy stash of something their prefect-of-a-roommate was blissfully unaware of) before continuing, "We can always bring a bit of help." A night out and about with Eddie, smoking and playing guitar until his mate felt more like himself? Not a bad way to spend time!

All of the mess with his sisters seemed to just slip away when his best mate joined him and engaged in his little flamboyant play acting. Doc was a good chap always up for a good laugh, much like Eddie himself. It was why they were such great friends. Always fun for them and with Doc’s killer personality and Ed’s musical prowess, they were a pair of chick magnets. And in his case, a chap magnet as well. No way could it get any better.
Well Ed thought to himself that it could be better if he was also a dude magnet. However, that wasn’t really a theme of Hogwarts even if it was the theme for him. He pushed those thoughts away as he looked over at his mate. “I am bereft without her constant light and beauty. I care not for even my beloved guitar.” For dramatic effect Eddie flopped back on his bed and sighed loudly. ' It would be nice to have some sort of inspiration...' Edmund Brown was just thinking when his friend suggested some help. He knew Doc well enough to know what kind of assistance he was suggesting. Eddie jumped up from his bed and hopped over the Doc’s. “Well well, I think a spot of help is just what the night calls for.”
Eddie glanced over at their roommates empty bed and smiled, he was such a sourpuss, and he was blessedly absent. "I really thought this was going to be the most melancholy night." It would be wonderful, they would reach that next level of thinking, and he would make the music that always sang in his soul. This night was shaping up to be much better than he expected.

While the gasp that left Doc was slightly exaggerated, it was befuddling to hear that Eddie wasn't even in the mood to play guitar. He was nearly always in the mood for his guitar! The bloke was an artist at heart, and learning from him had become one of Doc's favorite pastimes. And so, he was immensely gladdened when his friend sprung from his bed onto his own. Who cared about their Transfiguration essays, really? It was their happiness they needed to take care of! And Doc couldn't abandon his friend in his time of need! "A melancholy night?" With a subtle superhero-springing-into-action pose, Doc reassured his mate, "Not on my watch." There were many things that could be giving his fellow badger a reason to be down in the dumps, and while he wouldn't mind hearing about the other's woes, he wasn't going to press. Eddie would share if Eddie wanted to share, and Doc would listen if that time arose. But it was Eddie's business, not his. Making his night better? Now that was Doc's business. That being said, he left his bed to sit crosslegged on the floor, quickly popping open his trunk to get what they'd need to perk up Mr. Brown. While he prepped a joint for the pair of them with an expertise his mother and father would be ashamed of, he chuckled. "Going to have to be more careful about this sort of thing this year, I suppose - don't want to put ol' Tommy boy in a bad spot. What he doesn't know won't hurt him though, eh?" He winked up at his mate, hoping their Head Boy and friend wouldn't give him grief about his activities this year. It wasn't as if he was doing anyone any harm! It wasn't as if he was a pusher! If someone came to him, the Doctor as it were, of course he would give then the help they needed for a price. Foolish rule, really...

Eddie clapped, laughing with his friend. For no reason at all he elaborated on the darker boys antics, making quick karate moves he had seen on the telly. “Waaaah!” he said, copying the noise nearly every bad ass ninja made in every movie, ever. He was buoyed further out of his funk. Eddie knew he could always count on Doc to brighten his world. He dropped his act, smiling brightly, as his roommate produced their antidote for the night. “Thanks for this mate.” he said, patting Doc's head gently. He couldn't very well go jostling the boy about with a slap on the back or a hug, not while he was dealing with his precious resource.”Right.” Eddie agreed to Doc's next words, getting more comfortable on his roommates bed before he continued. “I do have a few ideas about that when it becomes a problem. Namely that room the elves talk about, the one that comes and goes. But that's for later. Tommy won't know, I won't be telling him, and he won't be back for a while.”
He watched Doc work with an appreciative eye. When he was done, Eddie drew his wand and cast two spells: one to to muffle the noise they made: and two, a concealment charm. They were mild, and simply meant to confuse anyone who walked in long enough for the two badgers to hide what they were doing. He turned back to Doc and took the rolled herb between his fingers. “So,” he said after a long hit. His voice was deep, strained as he held his breath. After a moment her let it go and a plump of smoke filled the air. “Some b*tch is picking on Cookie. I don't know what to do about a pint sized evil mastermind.”

Not for the first time, and certainly not for the last, Doc grinned at the give-and-take he so easily had with his roommate-turned-friend. There were people you ran into in life that you were meant to click with, it seemed to him, and Eddie definitely was one of those people for him. Whatever the situation, it was unnatural for either to hold back, and he was most grateful for it. Eddie's beaming grin was all the reassurance Doc needed to bring his thought into action, glad to see the other badger start to perk up. He chuckled as he got to work and was rewarded with some pats on the head, jokingly nuzzling into the other's hand until he removed it. He looked up in interest, though, as Eddie brought up that room. It was elusive, secret, and something Doc sorely, sorely, wanted to find before the year was up. "We should find it anyway," Doc said, giving his mate a quick raise of his thick brows. "Think of the shenanigans."Once done preparing the start to their evening of fun, Doc raised it up for his mate to light and do the honors. Not that he'd needed to relax anymore, but just the scent of the smoke was pushing thoughts of that pesky assignment from his mind. There were more important things to tend to tonight, as Eddie was bringing to light. "Aw sh*t," Doc lamented for his friend and Cookie, the reason for Eddie's lack of enthusiasm becoming much more plain. The littlest Brown was such a sweet girl, it pained Doc to think of someone taking advantage of the sort of kindness the girl exuded. It was just as cruel as someone picking on his Rhiannon, and just as unacceptable. "Can play bodyguard, if you want," he offered genially, holding his hand out. "To those who don't know any better, I think I could be intimidating." While the thought was admittedly laughable - Doc couldn't imagine himself actually harming anyone, especially a little girl - his towering and broad build could be useful. He breathed in deeply, glad for his mate's forethought on the concealment charms, and held the hot smoke in as he thought more on it. His slow exhale added to the slight haze in the air, and he hopped up onto his bed to join Eddie, passing the joint back. "D'you know who the kid is?"

One of the things Eddie valued most in his life, is the family he chose for himself. His sisters -even dear old dad- would always have his love and protection, but Eddie loved most the ones he picked by his own free will. After all, when picking flowers, didn't you pick the lovelies ones? And he had. He had picked the most beautiful friends. Therefore, he valued Doc a great deal. The other boy always seemed to bring his spirits up. They connected in such a way as to nearly always be in sync.
“Exactly.” Eddie agreed, not surprised in the least that Doc's thinking had been paralleling his. Second to having a place to indulge in the more frowned upon things, Eddie could think of a few 'shenanigans' he and his mate could get up to. It would be just grand! “It's settled. We go on an adventure soon. We must find the room that comes and goes at all cost!” He nodded curtly to punctuate his statement, which had been delivered importantly, with one finger in the air and the other on his hip. He smiled at Doc. They had to do it now, it was a decree.
He nodded at the other boys words as he passed over the joint, which was rolled perfectly, not too tight, not too loose. “I'm sure you could be intimidating.” Maybe. He could never imagine Doc being anything but nice to a little kid. Even a swot of one. “But I would prefer she stick up for herself. We won't always be here, yea? She needs to be able to defend herself.” At Doc's next question Eddie exhaled, reaching out to take another hit, before passing it back. When he answered he was slightly frustrated. “Yes. Slytherin, of course. Few years older. I'm tempted to just go to a teacher. Maybe not Sprout. Maybe McGonagall. I'm not sure what to do honestly. Anyway, anything new with you?”

One of the things he loved about this friend was how game he was for any sort of adventuring. Their lives were generally pretty chill, but when fancy struck? Doc could always count on Eddie as a co-pilot for whatever grand scheme they'd cooked up while baked or sober. And it'd be a shame, really, if they graduated without finding one of Hogwarts' most elusive spaces... this was the sort of challenge he liked applying himself to, and it was early enough in the year that they should have plenty of time to have a decent go at it! Nodding along with his friend's preference, Doc saw the logic in it and realized that what his friend needed from him was just to vent. He didn't like getting in people's business, rarely offering advice unasked, and it was true that the Brown girls needed to learn how to live here without their big brother looking out for them. It was a sh*t situation, the Slytherin's beef with Cookie, but hopefully the older student would tire of it soon. That's what usually happened, at least from what he'd seen; it was rare for rivalries or bully-ings to last when there were so many more pleasurable things to engage in. "If you think it could escalate, not a bad call to alert a professor," Doc said noncommittally, taking a hit as his friend asked about him. Doc gave a soft chuckle after a few moments, shaking his head, the joint held comfortably as he smiled. Because things were, by his standards, good. "Nothing much, man - Hestia and I are in a good place, it's our last year here and most of the professors have stopped trying to get me to 'reach my potential' so that's a blessing of less nagging...really just trying to stay under the radar with the weed, don't want to make Rhi look bad." His little sister, who was somehow not so little anymore and in her first term as a prefect of all things, was blissfully ignorant of most of what he did behind closed doors. Well - she likely wasn't, not with how quickly word got around school, but she played it as though she was, sweet girl. "D'you think you'll go for anyone this year?" he asked, passing the joint back to him curiously. While there'd been the disaster scenario with Bronwyn Nott a few years back, Eddie hadn't seriously pursued anyone since. Not that there was anything wrong with that, but if it was something his mate wanted to do? Would be good for Doc to be in the know, to be a supportive ear. He stretched out his long legs, adjusting one of his pillows behind his lower shoulders, and truly settled in with a contented sigh.

Eddie nodded, thinking to himself that it was probably the best option here, calling in a Professor for help. Or just to make them aware of the situation in case it got worse, which he sincerely hoped it didn't. For the little snakes sat really, he could only hold Sissy back so long before he lost his grip. He knew she loved and respected him but he also knew she was a firecracker and she would only take someone picking on her little sister so much before she did something. Before that happened, Eddie would alert an adult. "McGonagall it is then." There that was settled.
He was all too happy to move on to better topics, elevating his mood with every toke on their joint. Hestia and Doc were two of the closest people to his heart and he was lite to know they were doing well. It had been a long road for them. "That's great man!" Eddie said, smiling stupidly. "Maybe this time, you two will really make something out of it, hmm?" He gave his friend a wink, indicating that their was no pressure there, only teasing. He brushed off Doc's worries. "Rhi will be fine, just look at her, right? And you will be fine too, you've made it this long without getting caught. Besides, you have me to help."
There was no way Eddie was gonna let them get in trouble for this, it was too much of a risk. He also couldn't imagine having to go without it, especially on nights like these. He shrugged to himself, thinking it was best not to worry on it too much and taking a final drag. "Here, i'm good." He said, handing off the joint and laying back on Doc's bed, enjoying his high. Thinking of happier things, trying to internalize his anxiety. So, he thought about he summer he had just had...
Laughing at Doc's last question, Eddie sat up, balancing on his elbows. "Funny you should ask." he said, finding it amusing that he had been thinking of Danny and Doc should ask about dating. "I don't know man." he said, leaning over to fiddle with the hem of his jeans. "I'mI'm - I - I don't really have anyone here i'm really in to. You and Hestia are gold, but me, well...my interest are...particular." Eddie glanced up, feeling a little shy, but too high to care. "I definitely won't find another Danick at Hogwarts, that's for sure. And I'm not really feeling any females lately." He paused, trying to push away the thought that kept pushing to the front of his mind. Ah, f*ck it! Eddie was never one to hold back, especially from Doc. "Danny and I had sex. Like sex sex."

At Eddie's joke about him making things different with Hes, Doc just chuckled, stretching his long limbs languidly. He and his the girl hadn't had that sort of talk about them since...fourth year? While he'd never particularly enjoyed seeing her date other people, especially when those other people were also friends of his, Doc wasn't about to stand in her way of exploring what she wanted to explore. She knew he cared for her, and that they had chemistry - if she wasn't content with that and wanted to explore options...that was her prerogative! Thankfully, Eddie was just teasing. Things were good - why would he try to change them? "Thanks, Eddie," he said, grateful for his friend's reassurance. He didn't want to be the reason Rhi got passed over for another opportunity, or something like that. She wasn't his keeper, and he wasn't hers; she should be able to let her own name mean something by itself, not just in connection to him. The professors had shortly learned that the younger Dearborn was as diligent as any good Hufflepuff, and Doc knew she would continue to forge her own path here, even after he'd left. She'll be the one they remember fondly. He quietly took the joint back, closing his eyes to a comfortable silence as he let his mind drift... ...only to interrupt his thoughts with words before too long. Talk turned to Eddie's romantic life, which Doc hoped would continue as pleasantly as it had over the summer. The addition of one Danick Amor to the Edinburgh band had made the last months unforgettable, especially for his friend. The other badger had just been... happy. But Danny wasn't with them at Hogwarts - would there be someone else for him here? He smiled, at ease, as Eddie brought up Hestia and himself, but was full on grinning as the bloke got past his nerves and went on... "Yeah?" Doc inquired, looking over to his roommate and giving his arm a good hearted punch. "Good on you, mate! Are you still in touch with him?" Were Eddie and Danny going to try and make a long distance relationship work? Had they been in an official relationship without that being relayed to him? It wasn't any of his business, Doc knew, but it was good to be in the know about his closest friends lives, wasn't it? Maybe, with Danny, Eddie could hold on to that sometimes elusive feeling of happiness...If that was the case, Doc would do what he could to help!

This was a rare, surreal moment in Edmund Brown's life: he felt vulnerable. As soon as the words had left his lips, in spite of his spectacular high, he had felt a spike of anxiety and irrational fear of not being accepted. Doc knew that he was attracted to both males and females, it was never something Eddie had hidden from him but admitting this felt like it was..big. He had never felt this way talking about his exploits with girls before and what if...this was too much for his friend to accept? It was only a split second of doubt though and he felt bad about it immediately, Doc was his best friend and had never judged him before, he should never question that faith.
And he had no need to. Doc was soon congratulating him with a friendly punch on the shoulder. "Thanks man." Eddie said, swaying at the contact and a shy laugh bubbling up inside of him that soon turned a little unsure at his friend's last question. He shook his head, lying back, though he still smiled. No matter what, the summer had been amazing. He would never forget it. "Well...not really." How could he explain it in a way that Doc would understand? Eddie decided it was quite simple really. "We agreed that him being in Brazil and me having a whole year of school left just wasn't going to work out. Besides, we weren't ever really official. We were just..." Eddie trailed off, blushing. Yes, they were just.
They had both known going in that their time was limited. It had made Eddie feel everything more, remember everything clearer, it made him hold on to every moment he had had with Danick like he was holding on to his last breath...because..."I've never felt as free as I did this summer." he admitted quietly, knowing all the while it was the weed making his admissions less stressful, less sad, but no less true. They were just facts that he was stating and there was nothing Eddie could do about any of it as long as he was at Hogwarts. Which was his foreseeable future. So, he tried for a different, lighter subject. "Anyway, we should all get together soon, Me, you, Hes, Ana. I don't know, do something fun. What do you think?"

"Nothing wrong with just a just, my little blodyn tatw,"* Doc affirmed with a good-spirited chuckle. A just could come and go, filling needs as needs came and filling time as time went. A just could detach, in theory, without harm to either party; no symbiosis akin to the formation of a lichen, or a codependent relationship, where one could not exist without the other. He had had his take on a just last year, with the apples of each of their eyes taken by another. And it had been what Doc so often told himself and others that he wanted: uncomplicated. You couldn't be hurt by someone if you had no formal ties, if your expectation was just to be a just. Theoretically, anyway... Always managed to get your head and your heart mixed up when Hes's with someone else. Can it really all be kept separate? Would it be all that bad if they weren't?With how Eddie spoke of Danick, of this summer...Doc took a pull and sent the joint back to his mate. It was no substitute for the bloke who'd caught a piece of his heart, but Doc hoped it could alleviate some of the weight he felt emanating from the other. For it to have taken until October for this to all come out made Doc's mind spin. But perhaps it'd taken until now for Eddie to feel comfortable broaching the subject with him. And this long apart from Danick for him to really feel...gone. He sat up from the enclosure of pillows to throw a heavy arm around Eddie's shoulders, giving the thin lad a squeeze. "Me, you, Hes, Ana," he echoed. "Escaping the doldrums of the dailies on a quest for the remarkable. We could sneak out to Hogsmeade, meet up with Mary - see what the village is like after dark, eh?"*potato flower. these phrases make me love Welsh XD

Eddie gave a fond smile at Doc’s endearment, nodding his head as he stared at the duvet. His best mate’s mother tongue could be very amusing sometimes, but then again, so could his. Some terms just didn’t make sense in English which made him chuckle, that it was a phrase he understood even if no-one else did. It did help to lift his spirits some, as being with Doc always did. However, he has to acknowledge the melancholy that came along with missing Danick. He hadn’t really anticipated his feeling from the Brazilian lingering on this long. In fact, he had thought he would have already moved on, seeing as he had gone into that relationship knowing it would end. He thought he had done a very good job keeping himself detached from deeper emotions, but if the way he felt down about it was any indication he had not done as well as he had hoped. Not wanting to bomb the mood he suggested a much need hang out with the girls, and whoever else they wanted to drag along. Eddie felt his spirits lift high again when Doc passed him back the joint and tossed an arm around his slight shoulders, agreeing to his idea and turning it into a brilliant plan! Sneaking out after hours would add to the excitement of it all, making for a grander adventure. “Alright!” he exclaimed, taking a long drag in celebration, quickly followed by a coughing fit that left his eyes watering. “Oh man.” he said when he had recovered, divesting himself of Mary Jane and putting up a hand to indicate he was done...for now. “I am so toasted.” he said with a final cough and pound on his chest. He looked to his friend and began to chuckle. There really was nothing better than a good high with an even better friend. “Meeting with Mary sounds amazing.” he agreed with a smile. Maybe Mary Mac was the perfect thing to take his mind off of Danick. They were always the flirty sort, she enjoyed his music, and together a good time was always sure to follow. Add in his best mates and they were bound to have a jolly good night. ”Ana will probably need some convincing.” he said as he thought on it. “But Hes will definitely be down. Anyone else you want to invite? This is our last year mate, have to make sure everything we do is epic. No skimping.”

Up to her ears in Halloween decorations, Pomona needed a break. A real break. A multiple glasses of wine sort of break. But all the wine she’d had in her office was gone, after a very spirited evening with some of the other Professors. That hang over had lasted days, and she’d been working with the Mandrakes that week. There was nothing like listening to mandrakes squealing with a pounding wine headache. Tossing aside another bat she’d made to hang on the walls in the Great Hall, Pomona sighed. Tommy and Ana had done a wonderful job preparing things, but she’d sent them off to do their nightly duties. She was so proud of them both so far this year, and it was thrilling to have one of her Hufflepuffs as Head Girl. Replacing Ana as a Prefect had been a difficult choice, but things had worked out in the end. Standing up she shook off some glitter, before finding her wand in the mess and using it to clean up. Halloween was her favorite holiday, and she was always so busy this time of year between mentoring her students and preparing for the ball. She knew just what she needed tonight, and strangely enough she knew just where to find it. While her students might have thought they were able to keep secrets from her, she too had been a Hufflepuff once. She knew the best spots to sneak a smoke, and she knew exactly who was busy rolling joints in their dorm rooms and who wasn’t. If she was right, she’d probably find the boys in question tonight in their dorm. It was a short walk from her office to the Hufflepuff common room, and she was greeted with enthusiasm when she entered. A group of first years was quickly swarming her, questions about the mandrake essay she had assigned being shot towards her. She should have expected this, even if it was close to curfew, “I’ll answer all your questions tomorrow in class, off to bed you all, come on.” She shooed them down the tunnel, taking a moment to speak with some other students when she noticed Hestia creeping down the tunnel with a look of determination on her face. She was quite surprised to see her in the common room, as she’d already found Caradoc and Hestia in corners multiple times this year. “Hestia dear, wait up,” she called. The girl did, although she looked concerned, and Pomona smiled down at her. “Going to see Eddie and Doc? I’ll come with you, I wanted to speak to them both.” The two walked down the tunnel, and when they reached the room she could see Hestia’s hesitation. Without stopping she walked in, not surprised when her first thoughts became muddled and her mind was back on the ball. It was smart of them to use charms, but she wasn’t about to be leave without what she had come for. She knew they were smoking, and being high tonight while glittering bats sounded like a good plan.

Doc gave his mate a squeeze around the shoulders, hoping that while this was the first talk like this about Danny that they had shared, that it would not be the last. He could still feel some heaviness emanating from the other badger, but he could help to share the load now that he knew, right? The air was comfortingly heavy and warm, the large sun lamp was dimmed to just a stunning orange reflective of the sunset outside, and they were well on their way to planning their next grand adventure. An escape from the castle - which Doc knew would sound silly to anyone who hadn't spent the majority of their teenage years within one - with a wonderful crew, a delightful destination in mind which would bring them an even greater abundance of joy in finding old friends - how wonderful would it be to catch up with Mary and Bennett and Bridget all together? - and a night that they would revel in retelling for a long time to come... All they had to do was get the rest of the crew onboard, which Doc didn't think would be a problem with Eddie and himself working together, set a date, and go!But those next steps would come on another night. Doc all but giggled as Eddie was left with a fit of coughing and watering eyes after his final drag, rubbing the poor lad's back as he recovered. He took back the joint, glad as always for his friend's foresight in charming the door, and held it languidly between his fingers. "Our Head Girl!" Doc said with another light laugh, still finding it difficult to reconcile their Ana and Tommy with the roles they now held - but it was more of his disbelief that they were in their seventh year than anything - and nodded. Their final year demanded every salute they could give. He leaned back, eyes closing as he let his mind start to wander - over if they should expand the group, or add to the plan, or if there was something else they could do for Cookie... But their evening was not meant to continue in its current state. The door to their room opened decisively, and Doc opened his eyes to see their very own Head of House and Hestia come to join them. He'd imagined such events happening before, being caught and landed in detention and a referral sent home to parents who still very much did not enjoy exchanging information by owl. But in his wildest imaginations, he had thought about this. Sprout was one of their own, and he'd wondered if her willingness to turn a blind eye to their affairs was indicative of anything more. "Come on over, baban," he invited Hestia, exchanging a bemused grin with the others and scooted to sit on the trunk at the end of his bed, holding the joint out to Sprout. "Tell us all about it, Professor."
