He needed to stop letting his worries get the best of him, Remus knew that. But he also knew there was no talking himself down when he got an idea in his head, the anxiety only calming when someone else stepped in to help. In this case, their simple and happy life simply fell back into place after Charlotte’s reassurances. She was busying herself with dinner, he was contentedly cuddling the cat he had grown so fond of. And talk had turned to their wedding, something that only helped him feel better. He’d be so sure when he had proposed to her, sure enough to propose in front of people for merlin’s sake. How had he gone from that person to the one he was today, insecure and worried about his future with her? You’ve spent too much time worrying. Charlotte was on board with an outfit for Benevolio, and Remus deposited the cat into a nearby cat bed with a grin. “I’ll send her an owl, see what she can do.” There wasn’t much he could do to help in terms of dinner, and so he sat himself down at the table, digging through spare bits of paper to find a blank piece. He watched Charlotte carefully, always content to observe her when she was in thought. “Spring sounds perfect,” he said with a nod, writing the word down on the paper in front of him. Writing things down made it more official, at least to him, and he chuckled as he looked back up to her, “April or May? Or maybe March...although it’s likely to be horrible weather then. I suppose May gives us the most time to plan, we could find a place that has the outdoors as an option…”

The surfaces in their home tended to be occupied - of books and mementos, old Prophets with clippings snipped out of them and then the snippings themselves of course, of vases with flowers when she felt inspired to purchase a little something bright and nice smelling - and Charlotte loved the busyness of it all. Their minds were hungry for knowledge, to be challenged by word and number puzzles or by new information, and Benvolio had learned to tread lightly on the papers and lighter still around the vases. And so she smiled as her love sifted through the little pile on the table to find something suitable to start taking notes for the wedding that was becoming less imaginary by the moment. Not that Charlotte had doubted that they would marry, but their lives had been pulled in so many directions since their engagement - for goodness sake, she had still been in school, something that her younger self would have never been able to comprehend happening for her. But it had. Love had found her, love had been patient, and had become so intertwined with her days and her plans that she couldn't fathom what her life would be like without it now. "I'll put a vote in for May," Char decided with a smile after some consideration. "What do you think? Even if it does rain, some stories claim that that's a sort of cleansing of the past. As long as we've got a plan for if that happens, that doesn't sound too bad."She turned back to the pot on the stove, giving the bubbling broth of lentils a stir and fiddling about to find the rest of the ingredients for their soup. "I've been thinking about it," Charlotte continued, sprinkling in the spices, "and I would like to invite Violet and Rufus to take part somehow. Have you thought through who you'd like to stand with you?" It was most important for her to have Daisy at her side, and she would be content as long as that happened. But if Remus anticipated having his three closest friends joining him... You could invite Lily and Violet, then. Rufus could walk you down, if Father and Mother don't come. Her parents were less than pleased with the turn of events that had happened in these last months. Engaged while a student, to a young halfblood, moving out of their home and into one with him before the wedding...She truly wasn't certain about whether or not they would show. But sending out invitations would help settle that, at the very least, and she knew her brother would rise to the occasion if that was the case.
