“He was a total numptie! There is absolutely no-” “He wasn't half as bad as the last guy. Look all I'm saying is-” “All I'm saying is I don't think we should settle! He didn't fit in with us, there was no chemistry!” “Chemistry? Are we taking them out on dates now?” “Why I ought to-” “That's enough!” Eddie exchanged a look with Doc. His band mates always did this, well, Doug and Mace always did this. They could never really agree on their own, they needed Adam to step in every time and set things straight. Doug was the drummer,Mace on bass, and Adam on the keyboard, and Doc did rhythm whenever he was visiting; they were pretty good, the four -sometimes five- of them. Only, they needed a lead singer. A really good one. And the hunt wasn't going well. Mace was just ready to get on with practice and Doug obviously wasn't settling for anything. That was a perfect recipe for an argument. “Guys.” Eddie said from his place on the tattered old couch beside Doc, his guitar slung across his lap. The other three boys turned to look at him. Adam had just been telling the combatants that 'it's early, only a little after noon.' and that 'there is no need to decide this so early on'. Now their varying colored gazes were focused on him and Ed smiled. “I am so stoned.” Doug and Mace both looked at him askew but Adam smiled back, coming over to sit next to Eddie again -having to abandon his seat to handle the squabble. They practiced in Adams parents garage, where Adam happened to live -his plans in life were to make it “big”. He had dropped out of school, and worked at the record store, and really wasn't that great a musician, but Eddie liked him a lot. Not as much as Doc, and not so much as to break the statute of secrecy, but he liked him all the same. Unlike Doug, who was an asshole most of the time; and Mace, who Eddie was never sure of. He was also firmly convinced that 'Mace' was not his real name. They were both pretty good though, and despite their differences, managed to make decent music. “Adam is right, it's too early to start arguing, we put up flyers all over the city, more people are bound to show. Besides you are killing the mood.” He plucked out a quick, mellow melody to try and bring the harmony back around. Then someone was ducking under the half pulled down garage door, Eddie looked up -see Adam had been right- and his fingers stilled on the strings, fumbling a final off note.

Scotland was a nice place, he supposed. Willa had talked fondly of it when she had been at Castelbruxo three years ago, and he could see why. He'd been to London once before, bleak and dreary really. He'd been so young it was hardly an experience worth remembering. But with his 12th year of school done, his older brother had felt it necessary to convince their father to do something for him. Dannick had no fondness for the man, but when the offer had been an all expenses paid trip to wherever he wanted? What kind of person was going to pass that up! But it wasn't like he had planned to be going anywhere - seeing as it was sixth months after he'd graduated- So Scotland it was - Edinburgh to be specific. He wasn't sure where in Scotland the school was, and it wasn't like Willa would be there anyway. But he could write her once he was there, maybe go for a visit to hers. After all, this month was his fathers treat and Dannick was going to take full advantage of that. He hadn't been here more than a day or two when the flyer caught his attention. Music was his thing, and there was nothing lovelier than being able to serenade a partner. He'd even liked enough to take the music elective at school and put himself through years of it. So it was with a smirk on his face that he took the flyer down, following the directions to the location it listed. It involved quite a bit of getting lost, but he figured he'd found the right place when he heard a guitar coming from behind a half open garage door. So he ducked inside, throwing on a charming smile as he met the gaze of the group. "Buenas tardes, gentlemen," he said with a laugh, giving a wave. "You're looking for a singer yeah?" His took a second to study the group, giving a smile to the boy holding the guitar. "My name's Danny."

Doc hadn't driven nigh seven hours last night to listen to bandmates arguing, and thanked his lucky stars that at least he could tune most of it out due to his current state. He was here for the music and to hang out with one of his best mates, and was glad to have been thought of here - they'd wanted his input, see they really could be good lads - but Merlin's beard was this exhausting. Thankfully his fellow Hufflepuff was game to mellow out while the others caused a fuss. It was way too early for this sort of arguing, in terms of the day and in terms of the talent. They'd find a fitting frontman, Doc knew they would, it was just going to take some patience. As this was a quality that Doug and Mace the Bass were found sorely wanting of, he slid his tired eyes over to Eddie. Mate. He didn't feel right stepping in yet. He'd give his opinions on the singers, yeah, but in terms of in-band disputes? Not so much his place. At Eddie's start, Doc stretched out his long legs in front of the sagging couch, ready for a speech about togetherness and this being about the music and things coming into their lives when they were ready. What he got was even better. A low chuckle rumbled out of him as he turned to grin at the guy; whatever annoyances the others brought, Doc was stoked to be here with Eddie at least. Gotta see if I bring Hestia next time, he thought, and hoped he'd remember. The girl was just the best, and while she wouldn't be a help on the drive in terms of driving, she'd be help aplenty in terms of amazing company. He'd taken her on little drives before when he could get away over holiday breaks, the pureblood absolutely gobsmacked about the "muggle contraption," and the thought of going for miles through the countryside with her singing along spottily to the radio... A bemused smile on his face at the image, Doc absently nodded along with Eddie's points. "Eddie's right - something'll work out. And y'know," he continued, trying not to laugh as he prepared himself for the ensemble of groans sure to follow his slight plagiarism, "you can't always get what you want. But if you try, sometime, you find - you get what you need."He let out his laugh, leaning his head to the couch, only looking up as he heard Eddie hit a sour note on his guitar. Weird. The badger was shortly beaming, though, as he spied the newcomer with a total frontman look - and as the guy spoke Spanish. Now that could do the band well indeed, make them stand out among the usual crowd. "Danny, Danny, Danny," Doc drawled, unsure why the name seemed so terribly familiar, "welcome."Adam got up from the couch to save the guy from an attack from the others, and Doc gave Eddie's shoulder a nudge with his own. "Got a good feeling about this one," he said under his breath, "you should play."

Eddie was so glad his good friend Doc had a similar disposition to his own: they were both supremely easy going. Another someone might have gotten a little frustrated with all the spatting. Who wanted to hang around squabbling boys who killed your buzz? Most would have probably found something more fun to entertain them. Not Doc. Thank Merlin! The other Hufflepuff was the only one in the band that really knew who he was, or rather what he was, and his time with his friend over the summers was limited. He was a gem and the Scott was glad to have him. Eddie passed the joint along to Adam when he resumed his seat and then quickly took it back again as Adam jumped up to begin playing the Rolling Stones poorly on his keys, picking up on Doc's jest. Eddie gave his friend a thankful look for jumping in to agree with him, and his attempt at lightening the mood. After all, it was a completely true statement, and also a completely awesome song; Ed didn't understand why Doug and Mace looked so sour over it. Eddie passed the duchy to his best mate, intending to join in on his guitar... He never got the chance. Danny made his appearance then. Eddie hadn't realized he was staring until the new comer looked directly at him and they locked eyes. Ed smiled stupidly, blushing a little. It was never not embarrassing to get caught ogling someone, which he was totally doing to Danny, even though he had promised himself no more crushes on band mates. Not that he was a band mate yet. He got up and joined the rest of the boys in greeting their, possibly, new lead singer. “Just Danny, eh? I'm Eddie.” he said with a hand shake. “Lead guitarist.” Then he turned to Doc with a quizzical brow. He seemed...did he know Danny? Did he, Eddie Brown, know Danny? It didn't exactly appear that way -and Eddie couldn't for the life of him remember if he had ever heard of a 'Danny' - but who knew, sometimes he forgot things when he was partaking. “Yea, we should play.” Eddie agreed along with the others, a little excited, when Doc suggested they get into an actual audition. He had a good feeling about this. He tuned his guitar and checked their systems as the others got into place. Adam was going on about how good Danny would look on stage. Eddie smiled, convinced Danny would look good anywhere, doing anything. He had those kind of looks. “Alright, we were just about to do 'You Can't Always Get What You Want' but we can do something else. Something on the set list.” Because they actually had a set list. They had never booked a gig, but they were ready, should that day come. Eddie thought for a moment, eyeing Danny. “What about...'Walk On The Wild Side'? We would definitely be able to hear your voice there. You know it?”

He wasn’t quite sure what kind of welcome he had been expecting, but the blush of an attractive boy had not been one of them. The group of guys gathered around to greet him, and he did his best to remember the names, giving a wink to Eddie as they shook hands. ”Danick, technically. But Danny works fine, unless you've got something else you'd like to call me.” Smooth. And too obvious, calm it Danny. He pulled his attention to the fifth, the one who drawled out his name. Have we met? He felt like he would have remembered, but brushed it aside as they all talked of playing. He followed them over, dropping has bag on the ground as he situated himself at the mic. He hadn't gotten to sing in a bit, not since the last graduation party. It was weird being out of school, but having freedom away from it all was doing him some good. He looked to Eddie as he spoke, giving a nod. ”That sounds great to me.” After all, who didn't like some Rolling Stones. The only problem that he was currently seeing with the situation was the fact he had positioned himself so that he could watch them play. And from what he knew of the guitar, playing well meant playing with emotion. Could he do Mick Jagger justice while watching Eddie play the guitar? He supposed he was going to find out as the music started. ”I saw her today at the reception A glass of wine in her hand I knew she was gonna meet her connection At her feet was footloose man,”He needed to focus on someon something else, and he directed his eyes around the rest of band as they continued. ”You can't always get what you want, you can't always get what you want,” Was he staring again? Damnit. ”You can't always get what you want, But if you try sometimes well you just might find,You get what you need.”

It sometimes struck the badger as a shame that Eddie's bandmates weren't as relaxed as the pair of them were, but the world was full of all sorts, and needed all sorts. Some of the blokes were really trying to make their band into something, putting the pressure on high today to find their missing piece. Without them, maybe the band never would get out of Adam's parents garage - and the world, or at least Edinburgh, really did need to hear these blokes. While they all had their quirks, some of them making friendship out-of-band unlikely, when they came together to play...all of that dissonance melted away. Doc was grateful at least that some of them shared his sense of humor, Adam quick to his keyboard to pick up where he'd left off with the song. He retook the joint when offered, taking a long inhale, enjoying the lull between auditions... ...when he saw his roommate oogling, and being oogled at, by the handsome newcomer. Thought you said no more crushes on bandmates, Doc thought at his mate, unable to keep a smug grin from his face as he watched the exchanges between Danny and the lot. The long-legged Hufflepuff was content to stretch out on the emptied couch, be their stand-in audience until invited up. If things kept going well with Danny, if they played through a few things, he'd absolutely back-up Eddie with his own guitar. He settled in comfortably, happy to people-watch and listen as the blokes got going. Unless he was mistaken, this Danny's focus was split between the audition and...Eddie. However, he wasn't distracted enough to let it impact his performance, and damn could he sing! From his perspective, it seemed like the guy could easily integrate into the band, better than anyone they'd yet seen... "Christ's sake, Danny my friend," Doc said, standing to more effectively make his point as the last notes of the song reverberated around the garage. "What planet are you from?"(ooc: not that either of you need inspiration for this thread, but for enjoyment --> listened to this while writing ahahhaa)

Music always touched him in a way that nothing else could. He always felt it in the deep deep recesses of his heart, and sometimes…in all the nerves of his body. This time was one of those special times that Eddie felt it way down in his toes. His fingers were alive as they plucked along the strings. Danny watching him made it all that much more intense, made his chest feel that much tighter. He was amazing. His voice, the presence he had while performing, the way he looked at Eddie with his autumn eyes too frequently to count. Eddie saw every look, because he was watching too. While they played, Eddie made up names for their new band mate –because he was defiantly going to be in the band after this performance – McSexy was top of the list; quickly follow by McHotstuff, McPleaseKissMe, and McHopefullyFutureLover. He tried not to think it, but he did. He didn’t want to have an insta-crush on this Danick, but he did. Some things were uncontrollable. He didn’t miss the look Doc gave him as he took his fill of Danny upon first sight. Or how his stomach clenched when Danny smiled and lightly flirted with him; how his breath seemed slightly short as the boy-man sang to him.As the song came to an end Eddie worked hard not to make it too obvious how excited he was –Dannick had been in the garage what, eight minutes? So, he turned to Doc, only just realizing that he hadn’t joined in with them. Great, he was so distracted he was forgetting his best friend. And that was no way to act, seeing as his time with Doc was limited. "Next one, you're on rhythm." He informed him, smiling at his fellow puff as the boy spoke. “Oh yes!" he agreed, giving Doc a nod and a 'spot-on!' face. " Please, take me to this planet. Take me to your leader. Teach me your ways.”
And though he had told himself he wouldn’t, and though he was screaming out to himself not to, when he removed his guitar he went over and gave Danny a hug. It was friendly, completely platonic, but inside Eddie was mapping the feel of the other boy. “Welcome man!” he said, moving aside to allow his other band mates room to come and congratulate their new member. Doug was the only one who didn’t seem on completely on board, he said they needed to talk about it, but he was quickly shut down by Adam, who seemed to have no more patience for band disputes today. Eddie moved next to Doc as Adam took over, talking to Danny about practice times and set list and who knew what else. “He is perfect.” He said to his best mate, looking at the handsome man-boy. He turned to Doc and smiled sheepishly. “I mean for the band. He is perfect for the band. Dannick is going to be the best le…“ And then it hit him, hard and ,metaphorically, right in the face. He stood up, looking over at Dan with new eyes. “Danick Amor?”

If the rest of Scotland looked this good, Danny wasn’t sure he wanted to go back home. Especially if he joined a band. Hugo would get such a kick out of that, Danny living his dream of being in a band. He would have to write to his best friend about this day, although perhaps some parts he would save for an in person conversation. Like the intense burning in his chest whenever he realized that Eddie was staring right back at him. It wasn’t like he’d come to Edinburgh with the intent of developing an instant crush on a boy. Sure, he’d planned to fool around but he wasn’t like he met a ton of people with the same gender attraction. Making assumptions you know, you could just be freaking him out. No straight man gives you a look like that.Just focus on the song The song came an end quicker than he expected, having lost himself in his thoughts for a few longer than he had realized. Good thing it was a song he knew. Doc was quick to stand and give him praise – Danny had forgotten anyone else was in the room – and he gave a laugh and a smile. Especially as Eddie joined in, causing him to shake his head. “Well Brazil is a lovely place, but might be a bit too warm for you Scots.” Although warm weather meant less clothing… Danny was getting a hug, and he was quite fond of hugs. Especially from cute boys that were already going to be haunting his mind. But a bit too brief, it he had any say in it. Still, it was good to be greeted and welcomed by the rest of the band, his month filling up quickly as one of the other band members started listing off information. Something he should probably be writing down, but instead he was simply nodding and hoping he would be able to remember. It was only hearing his last name that made him look up. “Yeah, that’s my last name…have we met before?” he asked, his mind racing for what he would have ever been in Scotland for before. Well you came here for Willa’s graduation. Could they really be Hogwarts graduates? It wasn’t like he’d paid attention to everyone’s name. “You didn’t happen to graduate from uh…” probably not the best to mention the school by name. “What is it called here? Before university? I was at my friend Willa’s graduation recently.”

Finger-guns of recognition were given as Eddie invited him to join in on the next song - because surely there was going to be one - and Doc laughed as the bloke added on to his remarks. But, in all honesty, they had a catch. The new guy was good looking, foreign, could sing, and seemed nice enough. Also, he had eyes for Eddie, which could only be a bonus to this summer. Something in Doc's mind clicked when Danny said he was from Brazil, but the lean bloke brushed it away, chalked the flicker of an idea down as a result of the recent smoking. Doc smiled a smug smile as his mate and the others went to hug Danny into the band, noting with amusement how quickly Doug was shut down about wanting to hear and see more people. With making music with people, you just knew when it was right, or when it was wrong. And this? This was obviously right. He was still looking pretty smug as Eddie came over to him, and grinned wide as the lad spoke. "Sure, mate - for the band." Doc's wink may not have been as subtle as he thought it was, or his voice as low as intended, but if Eddie wanted to fool himself into thinking there wasn't already something sizzling between him and the singer... you've got to let him figure it out. He'd rein himself in a little, but before he had a chance to prove to himself he could, Eddie was up on his feet, exclaiming something... While Doc wasn't fully understanding why Eddie was getting in even more of a fuss over their new band member over his last name, as the Brazilian replied and he himself stood to get his guitar from behind the saggy couch... Holy sh*t, it's Danny Danny. He exchanged a gleeful look with his mate - an epic lead singer who was also a wizard and also knew their housemate?! - and was quick to jump in to confirm the suspicions he knew Eddie was sharing with him. "Willa, Willa Robbins? We're at school with her, yeah - year under, same House though. She told us about you, you and - f*ck, what's his - Hugh? Hugo. Danny and Hugo, Hugo and Danny - that's you, innit?" The little brunette's foreign beau had been the topic of much conversation in the burrow, both while she was away and writing about him and his mates, and when she'd returned to them. In a million years, though, Doc never would've thought he'd actually meet one of them. It was surely one of the most wonderful quirks of the world, how the stars sometimes just aligned. Because why was Danny even in Edinburgh? Today? When they were having tryouts? And that he'd seen a sign and just come...and it was Danny... Anything else amazing you have in store for us today, universe?
Gotta write Hestia about this!

“To have a voice like that, I think I would endure much more than a little heat.” Eddie said, as he pulled reluctantly away from Danny. There was no tingling, which sometimes happened when he was attracted to someone and they touched, Eddie was just incredibly aware of the pads of his fingers and the spread of his hand again Danny's back. But he didn't let it show, at least he hoped, as he went to sit next to his friend. He and Doc were chatting when... It clicked. Like a key sliding home into a lock. “Dannick Amor?” he was asking. And Danny...Danny was looking at him with what looked like almost suspicion, and what looked liked the most sexy set of mouth Eddie had ever seen. Then the world tilted, spun, and tipped its contents into symmetry. It seemed strange, but decidedly, right. He looked to Doc, who was looking at him, both Hufflupuff's surprised and excited. Eddie let Doc take over from there, his mouth had gone incredibly dry at the revelation of another wizard in the room, one they knew off. Eddie could hardly believe it! A wizard, here in the band! And one of Willa's foreign friends too boot, one she never mentioned was so stunning at that. What were the odds? He wasn't that great at probability but he was guessing the odds were slim, this chance encounter. And yet here he was, and here they were. “It has to be him.” Eddie said to Doc, looking to his friend again. “There's too much to be a coincidence. Right?” His gaze returned to Dannick, waiting for the confirmation. When it was given Eddie's face broke into an impossible grin. Over excited exclamations from Adam and even Mace -because how awesome was it that they sort-of already knew Danny, it was perfect, according to Adam- were like a far away thing to his mind. Eddie was walking back over to Danny, going in for another hug. “It's so great to finally meet you.” He said quietly, and when he pulled away again he was blushing a little, for no apparent reason. “Willa's told us so much about you guys. Though, she didn't do the best at describing you, sweet girl. She is going to lose it when we tell her.”

The compliments just rolled of Eddie's tongue, and he wasn't about to complain. While he had always viewed Spanish as the most romantic language, but in that moment when Eddie said heat with that look, English didn't seem so bad. But his attention was drawn by the rest of the group gathering around him. And when the three of them all came to the same realization, he grinned like a fool. Willa had been so shocked to see them at the graduation. And with good reason as well, it had seemed. It was clear she had feelings for that Sirius Black bloke. Hugo hadn't taken it well, and it wasn't like Danny could blame him. But that was conversation for later, as he laughed at Doc's question. "Yeah, that's us. Hugo came to the graduation with me," he answered. He would have to write Willa about this, as he was sure that Eddie and Doc would do as well. Eddie was coming back to give him another hug, one that he was surprisingly pleased by. Quiet words spoken to him, Danny didn't miss the blush across the others boy's face. Well, perhaps I wasn't jumping to conclusions. Although he would like to know Willa has described him, he was hoping there was more meaning behind those words. "Hopefully this will be a better surprise for her than her last," he said with a chuckle. He had been hopeful for Hugo, but he knew quite well that a heart wants what it wants. Hugo would find someone else, with time. "We should grab a bite sometime, exchange school stories!"

You flirt, Doc thought with nothing but amusement, over the moon as he was for this chance encounter going so well on a number of levels. He loved Eddie, really did, and wanted the best for him - that meant the best bandmates, the best friendships, and the best lovelife. While he generally kept his nose out of the lad's business, if prompted, the Hufflepuff would share everything he was observing. From the way Danny lit up every time Eddie looked him over, to how well they'd fit together for that hug, to how his friend couldn't keep a smile off of his face... About time you had some fun, mate. But things got better. Danny confirmed he was who the Hogwarts students assumed, and Doc had to bite his tongue to keep from asking then and there about caiporas and everything else Willa had told them about the other wizarding school. Without surprise on his end, Doc watched as Eddie went in for another hug, his pale face colored by the time he released the Brazilian. "Damn, now I'm wishing we'd gone! Tend to stay away from the drawn-out formalities, but that was cool of you guys to come. You'll have to tell us what you thought later on." This was his attempt at a subtle clue that while a few of them were wizards...not everyone in the garage was. He hoped Danny would catch his drift, but if anything slipped they'd just...play it off. "A better surprise? It's been a grand surprise to us, so I'm sure she'll be thrilled. Yes," Doc agreed vehemently, food sounding like the only thing that could make this day better. While he knew that the best conversation would come from just Eddie, Danny, and himself sharing a meal - no offense to the other blokes, but the three of them had things to discuss that just couldn't be shared with the rest - he wasn't going to be rude. "What d'you say we do another song or two and then go get something? Get this boy some haggis, proper Scottish welcome." Giggling by now, Doc grinned to Danny before he swung his guitar around; the lanky bloke strummed along to the beat Doug had going as he went the short distance to the cleared practice space, making himself comfortable as ever. "Walk on the Wild Side this time?" Quite frankly, Doc didn't know if he could keep up with anything faster paced at his current state, but he was ready to play backup.

Turning slightly, Eddie exchanged another meaningful look with his best mate as Doc subtly hinted at the rest of their band being muggle. Maybe too subtly. He hoped Danny got the full picture, he really wasn't excited about the prospect of having to obliviate his band-mates if Danny didn't catch on. So he added, a little less subtly. “Yea, you'll have to tell us all about it. Though, I'm sure it will be so boring. You know how it goes at our types of schools, so traditional, ancient really.” Eddie smiled easily, noting that only Doug was looking at him a little strangely. Adam was already aware of his 'special' school and didn't question Eddie on it, and Mace didn't give one sh*t about it either way. The boy smiled again as Doug shrugged and took a seat behind his set-up, Eddie moved over to Doc then, satisfied that his muggle friends and his magical ones could co-exist happily. Though, his face fell a little at Danny's mention of he and his friends last visit not being the best one. He had felt very bad for Willa at the end of last year, having the problems with boys that she was. Well, maybe not problems, could one call several gents wanting to be with you a problem? Eddie shrugged mentally. He still felt bad for their mutual friend, and agreed readily that this surprise would bring her much more happiness. “Doc!” Eddie exclaimed jokingly, his eyes wide, and his grin wider as the conversation turned to food. Funny how he wasn't hungry a few seconds ago, and now he felt he could just eat and eat and eat...anything but haggis though . “We want Danny to like us, remember?” Eddie shook his head at Doc as he took his place among the band, where he belonged. “Feeding him haggis and black pudding is a surefire way to send him running back to Brazil.” That thought, inexplicably, made Eddie a little sad. He had only just met Danny! But it was all just fun and games and Eddie took comfort in the easy jesting. “Alright.” Eddie said, taking his place again in the practice area. The lanky boy stretched his limbs out a bit, cracking his extremities, before picking up his instrument and slipping back into practice mode. “A few more songs, and then food for us, boys.” he said to Adam, Doug, and Mace -again Doug was looking at him, this time Eddie thought, because they were not being invited. Eddie did feel really bad about that, but not bad enough to want them tagging along. He didn't dwell on it too long, though. Adam was agreeing with their plans, seeming overly pleased to have found a lead singer, and eager to make a new set list that suited their 'new look'. Eddie grinned, looked over to Danny. Yes, definitely a new, much more sexy, look. “Doc and I will sing back-up on this one, yea?” Eddie said, glancing around to make sure everyone was ready, his eyes lingering on Danny before the microphone. “And a three, two, one....”

He really had splendid luck, stumbling upon two wizards that attended the same school as his Willa. But by the way the two were talking about the school, it was apparent that the other guys in the band were muggles. It was fine by him, as his interest in getting to know the boys better wasn’t entirely based on the fact they all knew magic. Although he wasn’t entirely sure of Eddie’s preference, it’d be easier to find out with less people around. Especially if Doc and Eddie were as good of friends as they seemed, surely it would be something they talked about. Then again, he was basing this purely off the fact he had shared everything with Hugo over the years. But their cultures surely couldn’t be so different that friends didn’t share secrets.
Danny took his place back by the mic, laughing as the two exchanged banter about food. He had no idea what haggis or black pudding was, but he had the feeling it wasn’t great if they thought it might send him running back to Brazil. He doubted anything could really turn him off, if it was edible and tasted good he wasn’t about to pass it up. Besides, some of the delicacies of his home would probably turn the stomach of plenty of people on this side of the ocean. Giving a nod to Eddie, he turned his focus to the music, ”Holly came from Miami F.L.A. Hitch-hiked her way across the U.S.A...”
Stretching after they had finished, he shot a grin to Eddie and Doc. He was starving, and ready to get to know his new summer companions better. Adam (or was is Doug?) was talking to him as he wrote down the date for their next practice, and Danny took it with a nod, grabbing his bag as he made his way to the other two wizards. “I’m not saying I want to try haggis, but you have to at least tell me what it is.”

Subtle, mate. Doc grinned at his roommate, who was certainly selling the idea of talking about their "boring" boarding school. Thankfully the other lads seemed put-off by the idea, on the whole, so hopefully it wouldn't be an issue for the wizards to take off later on. But at his, in his mind, amazing suggestion, Eddie was making him laugh on his way to the practice space. "Just giving the man a cultural experience, Eddie, Christ alive," he teased, hoping the Brazilian was game to try all sorts of new things while in the UK. He wasn't trying to scare Danny off - he was trying to have some fun with him! Relax, Edmund, my man, he thought, smiling at him as Eddie joined the group again. He didn't miss the look between the two bandmates, but refrained - with difficulty - from commenting as they got down to the music... And this is why you smoke before playing. Damn, are we good! He could feel the music being made around him, from Doug's light and rhythmic taps on the cymbals, to his and Eddie's in sync do do do's, to Danny's expert changes in inflection, the vibrations of his guitar strings starting in his fingers and traveling through him... Leave it to muggles to find their own way to experience magic. He was all smiles throughout the song, loving their band's new groove. If only summertime could last forever! But as all good things did, the song faded into its end. The blokes began milling about, taking care of business around him, while Doc's mind was elsewhere. He had a thought in his mind that he didn't want to get rid of, and as they began to disperse... "Right," Doc said, chuckling as the newcomer brought up haggis. He clapped the bloke on the shoulder before heading to the garage door, giving a wave to the others. "I'm gonna let Eddie tackle that one, something I've got to take care of before we head out. Good to see you, gents!" This was all too exciting for him to be contained about it. And Eddie surely wouldn't mind if another friend came around. Doc had shortly completed the walk to Juniper Green, and charmed his way into getting a large glass of water and using the Brown family's owl, stationing himself in the study to give Eddie and Danny a little time alone...and to do his best to get Hestia there before he was called back to go get a bite. Come on, baban...
