Eddie shook his head at his best mate, smiling genially. "Cultural experience indeed." he conceded easily. It was one thing between he and Doc, they could joke and jest no matter what. He glanced at their new comer, feeling that tell tale pull in his gut and channeling it into the strums on his guitar. Danick was an excellent singer and with him already being high, well, it was an overly pleasant experience. He found himself watching the other boy, really getting into his sexy voice, exchanging vibing sessions with Doc as they sang backup and even having a moment with Doug. When it was done, Eddie knew it was sealed, Danny was in. Sure enough, as soon as the song was through, Adam pulled the Brazilian aside to give him their next practice date and Eddie knew the bloke would have song choices and key changes and Merlin knew what else when they returned. The Hufflepuff smiled as he disconnected his guitar from the system and slung it over his shoulder, what a grand turn the day had made! Who would have ever thought that he would meet Danick Amor by chance? Who would have ever guessed he would be such a great singer and ace chap? Eddie, for sure, had never seen that coming. It was the most pleasant surprise in recent history. "Catch you at the house." Eddie said to his friend, grinning and clapping him on the back as he left the garage. The others were packing up and as Eddie patted his pocket for his keys and waved goodbye to his band mates, he realized it was just he and Danny now. Not for too long unfortunately though. They would meet Doc at his place, where his two sisters already were, and later his father would be home too; but for the moment, it was just them and Eddie was more than happy to lead the Brazilian babe out of their practice area and into the dying sun. "So haggis. Not something I eat, and I like lots of food, so thats saying something. It's basically all the nasty bits from an animal you don't normally eat. It's not a delicacy, that's for sure. And not something I would feed you first day meeting you." He stopped just a little ways down the road to Juniper Green, jerking his thump to the colorful establishment they now stood before. "How's Thai sound?"

Practice schedule safely in his bag, Danny was practically buzzing with excitement. Meeting two wizards by chance was brilliant, and it was even better that they had a friend in common. He did hope he would have more in common with the both of them - (admittedly, he was hoping to have a lot in common with Eddie) - and he gave a wave to Doc as he left the garage before the rest of the band. A chance to talk to Eddie alone was something he wanted, although he was unsure of what exactly he could say to find out the information that was burning a hole in his brain. He followed Eddie outside, the setting sun catching him off guard as it had done when he first arrived. While the cooler weather was a nice change from the temperatures he was used to, it seemed like the sun simply didn't stay in the sky as long here. He gave a nod as he match Eddie's gait, grinning at his new friend widely. "What bits of an animal do you not normally eat?" he asked curiously. There was a vast difference between their food, and he had been enjoying the new experiences that came with being in a different country. "In Brazil we eat Coração de Galinha, which is roasted chicken heart," he added thoughtfully. It was one of his favorites, but he had seen plenty of tourists to his country panic when they learned what it was. He looked to the colorful restaurant as they stopped, nodding to Eddie's question. "I've never had it before, but if you like it I'm sure that it's good. Is this something they fed you at school?"

"And so I ask you, who was the git who said 'Ye here a chicken heart, we shall roast it.' I'll pass on the Coração de Galinha." Eddie said, making himself laugh as he gestured extravagantly, honestly wondering who those strange blokes were that created strange things like roasted chicken heart and haggis. Some things should be left well enough alone but since Danick was asking: "And to answer your question, haggis is liver, heart, and lungs. Mostly sheep but some dicy places use other animals I think, no confirmation there. The grind it all up and eat it like pudding. It's enough to make me hurl." He declared resolutely, firmly pushing the thought of haggis from his mind. They would not be eating that today, they would be eating Thia, his favorite. Eddie led Dan into the establishment, waving at the cashier as she called him by name in greeting and shaking his head and the other boy's question. He answered in a pitched whisper as they approached the counter. "I wish they served Thia at Hogwarts, it's my favorite and I think I would never leave. No, it's traditional British fare there. Don't get me wrong though, it's very good, the elves there are amazing like that." Maybe he could have a chat with the little creatures and convince them to do some sort of inspiration nights where they served food from a different country, they were neighbors after all. "Take a minute to look at the menu yea, lunch is on me, and you're invited back to the house to grub with us. And maybe tell me more about what other weird stuff there is in Brazil. " he gave the Brazilian a smile, letting him know he was completely welcome to join if he wished. Eddie hoped he wasn't being too forward, and that Dan would say yes. The Hufflepuff wanted to get to know so much more about him. For right now though it was food ordering time. "I'll have six orders of the Tom Yum Goong, four Gaeng Daeng, maybe like seven, no eight orders of spring rolls, and three boxes of rice. And whatever this hunk wants." ... Hunk?

Danick joined in the laughter as Eddie laughed, not at all surprised that the bloke was passing on chicken heart. It wasn’t a food that was meant for everyone to eat. And from the sound of it, neither was haggis. It was something that he’d have to try one day - he was always up for an adventure - but he was glad that today wasn’t that day. “It is not my favorite food by any means, and if I am being honest, haggis does not sound pleasant.” Mixing up different organs and eating them as pudding sounded revolting, even to him. Still, it would be something he would try one day, just because. “But you have to give Coração de Galinha a try at least once, maybe I can make it for you sometime.” He’d have to ask his abuela for the recipe, but he was sure he could pull it off. Danny followed Eddie into the establishment, pleasantly surprised at how delicious everything smelled. He nodded as Eddie whispered to him, taking in the words. While he wasn’t sure what traditional British fare was, it sounded good. He knew very little about the food here in Scotland as well, but so far he’d liked everything he had tried. Even if he did miss some of the spices he was used to in his food. He smiled at Eddie’s invitation, trying to ignore the way his heart picked up at the idea. “That sounds very fun, thank you,” he said, before he took a minute to look at the menu. He had no idea what anything was, but he listened closely as Eddie ordered, and couldn’t stop the grin that formed when Eddie called him a hunk. That was an English phrase he was familiar with, and he was pleased to know that Eddie found him attractive. “I’ll take some Gaeng daeng, and some rice, thank you.” He waited as Eddie paid, feeling slightly guilty about it, and then followed his new friend to a table to wait. “How long have you been playing guitar?” he asked, even though it wasn’t what he wanted to know. Do you like men? Could you like me? “You have excellent technique.”

Eddie suspected that given time, he would give Danny anything the other boy wanted. Right now it was Coração de Galinha, later, who knew. “Alright, if you’re the one making it for me.” The Hufflepuff was well aware of the flirt in his voice but he really couldn’t be blamed for it, who could help it with such a man before them. “Because I like you so much I’ll never mage haggis for you.” Laying it on a bit thick, hm brown? Who cared anyway? If Danick didn’t like their back and forth he would show it and all Eddie got from him was equal interest. Couldn’t be his years of flirting were failing him now. By the way the Brazilian smiled when he complimented him, the Hufflepuff was reassured he was on the right track. And accepted his offer for lunch! He wanted to spend more time together, hang out with Doc, introduce Dan to his sisters, and now he got the opportunity to do just that. Excellent! They ordered and sat and Eddie found himself too excited for the day, as it was turning out to be an eventful, exciting one, and all because of his new friend and bandmate. Which meant they would be spending even more time together, all summer hopefully and if he was right and Danick found himself attracted to the same sex then well….it could be the best summer ever. “Thanks. My mum began teaching me when I was really young, five or six maybe.” he said, feeling the familiar companion of pain in his chest at the mention of her. Even though it had been years, he still missed her . “Before she died she taught me all about music. How to read it, play it, feel it. She was a great musician.” And beautiful and kind and made of iron and yet a car had managed to take her out. He could have hated everything after that, but he had music, and it had helped him move on. Danny thinking his technique was excellent was a credit to her and the years he had spent after her death honing his skills. He looked up to meet Danick’s eyes, giving a little smile after his small bought of melancholy. “I really like you’re style. You have a great voice. How long have you been singing?”
