16 juillet 1977 Posting order: Marcel → Elias → Espen → Luci → Felix -> Adeline “Ah here we go!” Marcel said as he approached their table at the Leaky, drinks for each of them in hand. Today had been a full day of fun, exploring Diagon Alley here in London. He loved poking about in Flourish and Blotts, fascinated by all the books in English, especially the dusty ones he had found in corners of the shop. Diagon Alley was charming, even if it did have some sketchy parts that they had to avoid, the creepy side for Knockturn alley enough to deter him from exploring. He wasn’t a fool, he knew what was happening around London, but they’d seen no evidence of anything evil today. At least, he hadn’t noticed anything strange. “Okay, this one is some wizards brew for Espen,” he said as he started passing out the drinks he’d delicately carried over, “Nettle wine for my dear Juli, shots of gigglewater for our ever lovely Lucy!” He was down to two now, and he eyed them both as he sunk into his seat at the table. “This one is Campbell’s whisky, I’m pretty sure,” he said with a laugh as he passed it to Elias, before he took a sip of his own beetle berry whiskey. It had a pleasant taste, although he was tempted to get himself some gigglewater before the night was through. He loved to laugh, and a drink that made you laugh? It was an excellent idea! Phil was absent from their group, and Marcel was anxious to hear how his dinner with Regulus went. He loved hearing about their love, just like he enjoyed hearing about Juliette and Espen’s love. Love was in the air this year, and perhaps that meant it would be his turn to find someone. “Mes amis, this is my year, I can feel it. This is the year I meet someone on this trip,” he said, dropping his arm around the shoulders of the person closest to him. “And if not, ç'est la vie, I suppose.” He had met people in past years, but communicating them once the trip was over was where it always fell through. He could keep in touch, but nurturing a romance through letters was something Phil was good at, not him. He scanned the Leaky quickly, seeing if anyone stuck out as someone he could talk to, but he had yet to have anyone catch his eye today. Wherever he, or she, or they was, Marcel knew they would meet when the moment was right. “Alright, best part of Diagon Alley today, go!”

“Ouf!” Elias called back as Marcel approached them, his arms full with drinks. Scooting over some to make room, the older gent gave a clap, truly happy to be receiving an alcoholic beverage after the long day of sight seeing, hopefully the rest of the night was too good to forget after this! He was surrounded by his best friends and favorite family and they were on a, not the best but still passably enjoyable, summer holiday. Their group was one shy at the moment and Eli found that annoyed him a bit for no particular reason at all but he quickly pushed that thought away. Phil was with his boyfriend who he didn’t get to see very often and they were all having a grand time here at the Leaky, Philippe would join them soon, there was no reason for annoyance. He smiled around the table as everyone was given their drinks, not surprised at the choices. Something boozy, fruity, and fun, fitting for each of his friends. The last were the pair of whiskey drinkers and Elias excepted his glass happily, giving it a good sniffing. He gave a little salute when all was settled and then indulged in his drink satified that it was quite good. Not the finest he’d ever had but it was fair and went down smoothly. He gave an appreciative nod at the glass as he set it back down, tuning into the noisy, completely English pub again as Marcel spoke up. “This is your year.” Elias repeated with encouragement, placing a hand on his roommate's shoulder. "There is someone out there waiting for Marcel the Marvelous, I'm sure of it."He wanted happiness for all of his friends, but they had each had their ‘loves’ in turn, whether they lasted or not hardly mattered. Marcel deserved someone of his own and Elias sincerely hoped his wish came true and he met someone who blew him away on this trip. And even not on this trip, Marcel meeting anyone would be superb as it seemed noone back home was the one for him. At his friend's last question he sucked a whistle of air between his teeth, turning to each other his friends as they enjoyed the evening together. The best part would have probably been Knockturn Alley, but I haven’t gotten to go yet. “Gringotts was by far my favorite place. Fascinating system, beautiful structure, tons of gold. Superior.”

She truly had to admit that England was bringing out the best in her. Maybe it was her decision to leave home for good, perhaps there was just something calming about being surrounded by her closest friends in a noisy English pub, or maybe it was that she and Espen had finally gotten last night all to themselves after nearly three weeks of longing. She couldn't be certain of anything other than it not being the rain, but Juli was feeling light and breezy, and she hadn't even consumed any alcohol yet. Right on cue, Marc came up to them with his hands full, and she thanked him for her bright blue beverage as he passed everything out. "Mon coeur, goûtez ça*," She lifted the drink towards her boyfriend, already in the process of taking a sip of his...wizard's brew was it called? The French girl usually wasn't one for darker beers, but this one had a sweet taste that she wouldn't say no to during the next few rounds. "Luci, is the gigglewater everything you hoped?" Trying new things in every country they all went to was one of her favourite pastimes, and her dearest friends were well aware that she would be stealing bites and sips of whatever they ordered over the next two weeks. Juliette played with the hair at the nape of Cas' neck, as she nodded to Marcel and Elias' words. If there was anyone that deserved to find true love, it was him, and she had faith that he would accomplish this goal soon. "Vos is right, someone very special is coming for you." She drank from her glass again, licking all of the delicious leftover liquid from her lips. "Gringott's was something else, but the best part? Is it a cop out to say the liveliness of everything?" She laughed loudly, head tilting back, not knowing quite what to say next. Everything from the people to the places to the entrance of the alley had left her impressed with it, so it was all hard to put into words. "I bet Phil has so many stories about the times he's been here with Regulus! We'll have to compare notes when we see him." *My heart/sweetheart, taste this

These endless summer days, the komkommertijd*, the ones where he now woke up with his schatje in his arms, where he was well known for forgetting exactly where in the world they were until breakfast - these were the days he looked forward to. Where he and his friends took the days as they came, no agenda in mind, no coursework hanging overhead, they could praten over koetjes en kalfjes** from dawn til dusk. While Espen applied himself to his art and appreciated the time and opportunity given at Beauxbatons for that, wasn't this what life was most about? Finding those you loved and soaking up every bit of life that you could with them? So the lad really couldn't be happier now that they had settled in at the little wizarding pub in London. Espen looked up with a beaming smile as Marcel returned, reaching out with a thank you for his pint. The glass had hardly been gripped by his hand before it was redirected by Jules, and he chuckled as he took a drink of her wine before indulging in his brew. He knew he should be used to trading food and drinks with her, summer never went by without it, but he was tickled pink by the old tradition continuing. Or maybe he was pink because her hand was in his hair, tickling the tender back of his neck, and he felt so close to her, so proud of her, from the last few nights. The decision to leave a family that didn't appreciate her was difficult, and he was still trying to fully comprehend it, but she was happy to no longer feel tied down by them, and that's what mattered. His free hand rested comfortably on her leg under the table as chatter moved around them, and he nodded in agreement with the lot. "Just don't forget about us when you've met your match, eh? Promise me," he said with a serious look across at Marcel, until he cracked and was again left smiling. As Marcel led them into discussing what they'd seen so far on their trip, Esp looked over in surprise at his cousin's response. Sure, Gringotts was flashy and secretive all at once, but what about the dragons? Not wanting to burst his bubble though, Espen simply continued to drink and tickle Jules's leg. He paused to smile over at her when she laughed, heart warming at the sound, and laughed himself at her last. "You know that if you open that door we'll get a ranking of Fortescue's best-to-last," he joked, their friend's preoccupation with ice cream something that, endearingly, hadn't stalled with age. "I've got to say - hold your groans - Quality Quidditch." To finally be in a place that fully and unabashedly appreciated the sport that was all but shunned at Beauxbatons was glorious, and he would've spent the whole day chatting with a new friend if he could've. "Met a great bloke there, he's got a girlfriend up in Ireland so we're going to meet up when we're there!"

What fun she was having this summer! The school trips were always a good time, getting to be with her friends and basically free to do as they pleased, what could be better? For Luci, this was just about as good as it got. And when Marc arrived with their drinks, giving her such lovely compliments, there couldn't have been a more satisfied feeling. She was always ready to try new things, a trait she probably picked up from Juli, and she had been ready to try giggle water since she’d heard about it - who said pop culture magazines were useless? She picked up the first glass and tipped it back, getting it all in one go, just as Juli asked her opinion on the new drink. So, it happened that Luci let out a ridiculous little giggle in response. She exchanged a look with her best friend and chuckled, of her own accord this time. “Aptly named.“ she said with a satisfied nod, wiggling her shoulders a bit at the happy, light feeling the drink gave. The light feeling carried over in her words when her dear friend Marcel spoke of his want to find love. Luci so hoped he found someone. She had tried, once, to help him along in his search, but that had come to nothing. Not from her lack of trying, just for lack of connecting. “Je suis d'accord, quelqu'un de très très spécial.” Lucille thought that love probably found you when you weren’t looking, because it was mischievous in that way. Look how it had toyed with Espen and Juli? Who was to say that finding love was the pentacle of being anyway, when it usually brought on so much strife and heartbreak. She would never dash at her friends hope though, or deter his journey. Besides, the two love birds next to her were so blissfully happy, even after their initial struggle, maybe love was worth it for some. She hoped it was for Marc. Luci broke from her thoughts and glanced over at Espen’s words, shaking her head. As if they could ever be forgotten! Marc posed the best question then and Luci listened eagerly as everyone gave their answers. Thinking Elias was strange sometimes, the bank, really? And reaching over to squeeze Juli’s hand at her answer. She knew her friend would feel her agreement in the touch, this place seemed to have a heartbeat, and though the English would never be as refined as the French, she was really liking the place as well. Talk took a side road to Phil and Luci sighed - “I have so much to ask him. I hope he’s soon, even if all he wants to talk about is ice-cream. It would be fun to get his more intimate take of things.”- before returning to their best parts of the day. At Espen’s answer Lucille smiled, giving an excited little gasp. “Quidditch no surprise there, but new people, that is fun! Well, my favorite was Eyelop’s and I’m pretty sure we’re getting a dorm cat.”

As he walked back to the table from the bar, he was taking in the sights. There had been a pair of twins at the bar, taking bets on when their friends were going to have another baby. There had been a pretty blonde girl who had rolled her eyes at his greeting, muttering something about the Wyvern before disappearing out the back door. The pub was a lively place, and his head had turned this way and that as he’d walked through it. He would stay up late tonight, he knew, and make his way around the pub to hear stories of England from the people that lived there. He just hoped the stories would be full of laughter, and not full of the darkness that seemed to loom over some of their heads. He was very happy that his friends had his back, even though he expressed the same sentiment every school trip they had been on. He was very grateful for all the pen pals he had accumulated over the years, and he still wrote to many of them, but he wanted his great love. The one that would sweep him of his feet with a story he could tell his grandchildren one day. Was that so much to ask for, a love like his parents? “I could never forget ma famille, you wound me Espen,” he teased across the table, placing his hand over his heart. To him, family came first, but he was one of the lucky to have a family back home that wasn’t in turmoil. He was glad he asked about everyone’s favorite part of the day, the answers were wonderful! Gringotts has been quite interesting to check out, and he heard rumors there was a dragon there. That they hadn’t seen however, which Marcel thought was for the best given Elias fear of them. He laughed as Juli gave her answer, inclined to agree. It had been bustling with people today, and it was all so exciting. And Espen, picking Quaility Qudditich of all places, Marcel made a point of rolling his eyes. He didn’t hate the sport, he just didn’t understand why people loved it so much. There were much better sports to play, if one wanted too. But knowing that they’d be meeting more friends in Ireland was exciting! “A dorm cat! That would be perfect,” he chimes in, having enjoyed seeing all the animals today at the store. Cats were charming creatures, when they wanted to be. Perhaps if they did get a cat, he could earn it’s love through treats. “I liked Gambol and Japes, it was so fun in there. Gave me lots of ideas.” He loved jokes, and a whole shop dedicated to them was brilliant, in his opinion at least.

He wasn’t very surprised that none of his friends were impressed by his favorite part of the day, they didn’t share his appreciation for the value of gold and the beauty of security. The bank was a fortress and he was determined to learn more about it, at another time. Now he was busy drinking and laughing with his friends and all of their responses. Juli was her usual self and remarked on the feeling of the environment and also on the absence of Phil, as if she had been reading his earlier thoughts. Elias chose to sip his drink rather than comment and found himself smiling around it at his cousin, typical, Quidditch. How did Espen always manage to meet people and make friends everywhere he went? It was a gift, truly, and he loved him for it. “Can you ever go anywhere without coming away with a new friend neef*?” He asked, smile on his face and tease in his voice for his favorite cousin. Honestly, they were more brothers at this point. In fact, all of his friends were more like family than anything else, and Eli was more likely to indulge them because of it. But not so much as to agree with Luci, who suggested bringing a cat into their home at the château and Marcel who readily agreed. Elias shook his head. Personally he wasn’t sold on the idea of a creature roaming their suite. Not that he had anything against animals in general just that bringing one home would just be another added responsibility and work. The cat would need places to prowl and adventure, they would need a secluded place for it to do it’s personal business, places for it to hid away and attack their feet, kitty doors on all the rooms, Elias pinched the bridge of his nose just considering everything that would need to be done. “Not that it will matter, but I vote... no cat. I also vote no Marcel, to letting you back into a joke shop. No telling what you will get up to." Those thoughts were even more troubling and Eli shook his head, whispering in quick speech, mostly to himself though he knew his cousin would hear and understand. " Ik wil echt niet dat je mijn prachtige haar verbrandt.**"Dutch cousin* I really don't want you burning off my gorgeous hair.**

Her boyfriend's laugh made her insides flutter, still after so many months of being together. Juli had worried that it would get old as time went on, but there it was, still present even as she felt they had passed many traditional milestones together. The muscles in her thigh tightened when she felt his hand rest upon it, and suddenly the young woman had an urge to drag him back to the hotel with her. She was having fun, and knew she could never leave their friends to go have sex - not until later anyway - but the feeling was still very much running through her and Juliette slipped her hand under the collar of his shirt as a response to it. If she was going to be worked up while they were out and about then so was he! With any luck, Cas would realize what she was up to and tease her right back. She loved it when he did that. She squeezed Luci's hand, happy that someone had had the same track of mind as her while they had done all of their exploring earlier in the day. There were so many uncertain things in her future - she still didn't know where she was going to live past staying with Espen and his family after this trip was finished - but being surrounded by all of her friends gave her hope that she would figure it all out. She laughed again at Cas' observation, knowing in her heart of hearts that he wasn't wrong, but that didn't stop her from agreeing with Luci. "What's so wrong with that? Fortescue's was delicious! I want to go back before we leave." Juli took up her wine and did hold in a groan the best she could, already knowing what was coming before Espen spoke the words. "I thought he was going to end things with me and jump across the counter pour le baiser,*" She told the group, smiling at her own tease. "I'm so sorry your love was already taken by someone, mon coeur, perhaps in Ireland, you can win him over.""Un chat? Vraiment? Vous ne voulez pas un hibou à la place?**" The number of times she had lent her own owl to her friend was staggering, and she would think that a bird was the best pet to have when you needed to send so many letters. Marcel seemed excited about the idea, but she wasn't yet assured that it was a good idea outside of it being something Luci wanted. She ran her hand down Espen's side as she leaned back in her seat, her fingertips now teasing the flesh just above the waistband of his jeans. She nodded seriously with Vos' worries, although she winked at Marc so he knew she was kidding around. Maybe he could return to the joke shop at the same time she got her second serving of ice cream? "Ik kan zien hebben we verschillende definities van 'gorgeous'.*** Marc, you'll come back with me before we go to Cardiff."French *to f*ck him **A cat? Really? Don't you want an owl instead?
Dutch ***I can see we have different definitions of 'gorgeous'

Espen kissed his fingertips, leaned across the table and stretched his arm until the kiss landed onto Marcel's forehead. He fell back into his seat with a giggle, hoping that had put a bandage atop the wound he'd given his dear friend. It proved more and more difficult as the conversation among friends went on, though, to focus on what everyone was saying; he hadn't purposely been trying to rile his girlfriend up, simply resting his hand on her leg, but Juliette's hand started wandering. He sat up straighter as her hand slipped under the collar of his shirt, giving her thigh a squeeze in return as he took up his drink. If he met her eyes for even a moment, he knew that all hope of discretion would be lost! His tease was well met, thankfully, and he knew he'd be in for every taunt back from the Frenchman once he joined them. "It was very good, don't get me wrong," Espen continued with a laugh of his own to compliment his girl's, hand inching up her leg, "I just meant that if we want to know about his visit today, we should start there with him rather than his take on the alley." As he'd expected - as wonderful as Beauxbatons was in many ways, the attitude towards Quidditch really was quite poor - his admission was met with mixed reviews. He shook his head at Eli's remark - "Don't see anything wrong with that!" - before Jules's hit him. Then he did break his rule, turning to look at the beauty beside him, biting his lip to keep from exploding with laughter. "Was it really that obvious? I'm so sorry, schatje - but thank you for your understanding, I'll do my best next time we meet."Luci piped up about a shop he'd chosen to stay out of - not a big fan of pets, usually got to sneezing if he was around them too much - and he sent a sympathetic look to his side as his cousin became more and more stressed by the thought of a cat joining them in the suite. "I am with you, neef," he said in support. "Perhaps it could learn to stay with you, Luci?" He all but shivered as Jules lightly trailed her nails down his side, but had to disagree with Eli as he dissuaded Marcel from his idea. The lad was so good-hearted that there was no need to worry about a personal attack! Espen gave a laugh as Jules piped in - "Luister niet naar haar, het is prachtig.*" - and ruffled the man's hair with a grin. He took a drink of his brew, which wasn't all that different from the stuff at home, which was comforting, and abruptly stood in excitement. "Fitz! Over here!" Espen called, waving their classmate over. He must've still been exploring, and what fun to cross paths now! "Als haringen in een ton zitten,** everyone! Come and sit with me schatje, we can fit," he encouraged, seeing it as the simplest way to make more room at the already crowded table. He sat and lifted the tiny woman onto his lap, smile smug behind her multicolored hair as he held an arm around her waist. He bopped a kiss to her neck and grinned up at the newcomer. "What do you think of London so far, Fitz?" he said in greeting as the lad joined them. *don't listen to her, it's beautiful **like herrings in a barrel

A burst of laughter came from his friends' mouths when he did not manage to complete the task they'd dared him to do. There were only so many skills he had taken away from Circus Arts, and while walking on his hands to the Leaky Cauldron all the way from Flourish and Blotts had seemed like something he could accomplish at the time, Fitz now needed to admit to himself - as he lay grinning and staring up at the stars above from the cobblestones - that it was a horrible idea. He blamed it on his lack of knowledge about the area, and that stretch going uphill at the end which had led him to fall on his ass. Now he owed everyone a drink, and they weren't even close to one of his family's clubs where he wouldn't need to pay. His friends helped him stand while they all still chuckled at his expense, and he clapped one of them on the back heartily. Leaky Cauldron it is. Verlies geen weddenschappen meer, anders heb je geen geld meer!*The English pub wasn't too busy, and his group of noisy friends made their way to the bar, where everyone started to put their orders in. He had just been passed his Beetle Berry Whisky - not his usual, but worth a try - when he heard someone shout his name from one of the booths that wrapped around the place. He laughed at his luck, leaving enough money behind to cover everyone as he headed over, "Hey everyone."Fitz felt his smile widen as he took in the most beautiful young woman in the bar, "Luci." There was no point in taking it anywhere since he knew she'd never go for him, but he still couldn't help himself sometimes. "Amazing! Who wouldn't like it it?" He clapped his hands together, "So what are you all doing tonight? This the last stop?"

Her hopes were dashed so quickly that Luci could hardly be blamed for her pouting! Only she and Marcel loved the idea of bringing home a furry friend for them all to take care of and love. She scrunched up her nose at Juli’s response and gave her a telling look. How could she not want a fat lovable feline? Especially when Luci was so enamored with the idea. “Il y a déjà plein de hiboux sur le campus!*” True Lucille thought she should probably get an owl, but then again she really should have gotten one ages ago. Why get one now so late in school, why when she had so many friends with one and the school owl’s were just fine with her in any case. No. What she wanted was a cat. At Espen’s suggestion she had the heart to look appalled. Trap a animal in a room all the time. No way. “Fine.” She conceded. “I see I am overruled.” She shot a particularly hurt look to her best-friend and an apologetic one to Marc as the conversion turned to a language she wasn't fluent in and she sighed at her bad luck. Looking down at the two small glass tumblers she had left she picked one up and took another shot of gigglewater to hopefully lift her mood again. She was more prepared this time for the sharp outburst that left her, quickly followed by more natural giggles. She was still very sad about not getting her kitty but who could stay mad long with such amusing drinks and great company. Speaking off, Espen rose and called out drawing Luci's attention and her gaze traveled to the bar. She craned her neck to see their classmate coming towards them. Nikola Fitzwilliam was a friend to all, his family was well know, and the man himself was widely adored around Beauxbaton’s. He was tall and charming and her friend for some years now and she was very happy to see him tonight, it was the reason she smiled so brightly. Part of her, the part she had put on hold years ago, recognized him for the absolute catch that he was. “Nikola!” she said, trying not to read too much into his personal greeting for her or the way their eyes met. He was way out of her league anyway even if she hadn't sworn off dating. Typically men fell into three categories: her friends -the best sort of men-, men who didn't see her standing next to her best friend at all, and men who only wanted to get with her because of her best friend. Thankfully, Niko was the former, and she was happy to have his added presence. In a flash Juli was positioned in Espen’s lap to ‘make room’ and Luci shook her head at the pair. “Control yourselves for a little while longer.” she teased, sliding over to relinquish her end seat to their newcomer. “We were all just saying that, this place is really cool! I really liked the pet store but really everything was pretty great. I mean even getting in this place was an experience. It's pretty dated but I like the feel of history it has. Anyway, I’m pretty sure we were just planning on calling it a night after this.” She looked to her friends for confirmation, feeling like she was monopolizing everyone’s mutual friend. There are plenty of owl's on campus already!*

"Up you get, mon loup,* easy does it," Felix encouraged, hand extended out to the friend on the flat of his back in the middle of the street. It was only right that he helped him up, wasn't it, when it was his fault for putting him up to the impossible? He wasn't really supposed to resist a sure bet, was he? He deserved some fun on this trip - last year, the first year he'd properly attended the whole summertime trip instead of staying back for workshops, he'd been dumped before they left the first location. And it was fine, truly, he hadn't thought that his first girlfriend would become his wife one day - Letty's heart had always pulled her towards the Dutchman, and who was he to stand in the way of her happiness any more? He'd persevered, naturally, even with the affront that was her practically immediately staying with someone else. That made it all the more interesting when she returned to his suite all of four months later for the start of a friendly session of sleepovers. ...which translated into rather romantic ones when they were both in Paris for the winter holiday...and continued into the next trimester. They hadn't been together again, they were discreet, but it was still with some surprise that Felix got an abrupt awakening in March. She and Espen were an item, even though she'd been in his bed earlier that week, officially. The couple had made it longer than he anticipated, frankly, losing him some coin - but Letty seemed happy, and he was free to pursue others if he so chose. But tonight wasn't about this last year, no - tonight was about making more silly bets with his friends, complaining about sub-par English wine, and finding somewhere with music and a dance floor. He was still waiting for his glass of Superior Red when Fitz was summoned - it wasn't too unusual, really, the man had the universal appeal of a golden retriever, and Felix leaned back against the bar to see who had called. Bête comme ses pieds,** isn't he. But he didn't really expect Espen Vinkler to think many things through, did he? But Felix would play nicely, he would - Lucille was with the group, which meant Fitz was going to be distracted the rest of the evening, and maybe this trip could be when something actually happened between the should-be lovebirds. He took up his glass and moved through the pub to the group, catching enough to confidently interject when he was close enough, "Fitz was just telling me how great he's feeling." Felix gave a little wave of greeting to the others as he propped himself against the back of Fitz's chair with his elbows, trying not to burst out laughing at catching sight of Juliette and Espen. Careful or you're going to embarrass him, ma chouchoutte.*** "Travel, a late night, and a bit of drizzle can't keep my man down. Look at him! He may as well have just woken up. If you're not ready to turn in, Luci, I'm sure he'd keep you company." *sparky **as stupid as his feet ***my cabbage

It was hard not to laugh at Fitz’s antics, and it was such a nice evening in Diagon Alley. Addie loved these summer trips, and she hadn’t been about to pass this trip up, especially when it was going to be her last one. To get to see magical and muggle places that she had only heard about was wonderful, and she’d spent probably too long in Flourish and Blotts looking at books. But Adeline wasn’t tired in the least bit, and she did hope the fun with her friends would continue once they got to the Leaky. Felix had come to the trip this year, and she watched him help Nikola up off the street. Their group would almost be complete, but Carolina and Jess were off somewhere together, probably being as adorable as they always were. Breathing in the cool air as she waited for her friends, she gave her sister’s hand in hers a squeeze. They were soon entering the back door of the Leaky as an irritated blonde was leaving, and Evelyn was taking their purchases into her hands, excusing herself to go and put things in their room. Addie followed her friends to the bar, letting them order before her. Having been raised on wine she hardly drank anything else, and she wanted to try something new while she was here. Brandy seemed worth a try, especially one aged for so long, and she was waiting for her drink when she heard someone yelling for Fitz across the pub. She was a tad surprised to see it was Espen, and she kept her opinions to herself about it. Hadn’t him and Juliette caused enough drama in their friend group already? But she knew how Nikola felt about Luci, and she knew Felix would be polite even if he had feelings about the pair. She took her drink, leaning back against the bar to watch the scene as she sipped it. She spotted Elias, and allowed herself a smile. Things had fizzled out between them early in the year, but she’d found that sometimes she still allowed herself to occupy his bed. Nothing had happened in the last couple of months, but that didn’t mean she hadn’t allowed herself to still have feelings about him. It was with this in mind that she made her way over, giving everyone a wave as she caught the end of the conversation. “I’d take him up on the offer, there’s plenty more to explore around,” she said, patting Fitz on the back. Marcel was out of his seat, offering it to her, and she slid in next to Elias and gave him a smile, “Hey you.”

This trip, like all others, would be a trip to remember! Being with the people around this table was always a good time, and his deep love for each of them was something that could never be broken. Even as relationships changed between them over the years, they were still here together, and that counted for something. All was forgiven though as Espen pressed his fingers to Marcel’s forehead, and he smirked across the table as his friend. He grinned at Juliette’s words, because he would of course be down to a trip back to the ice cream parlor. The two girls who had been there that day had been so sweet, and he knew at least one of them was a Fortescue so it was likely she would be there. He laughed at the tease directed to Espen, but Elias was right, did he ever go anywhere without making a new friend? Luci’s wonderful idea for a new pet for their dorm was shot down by Elias, who looked pained by the idea. And who was also saying he wasn’t allowed back into the joke shop, which was really just rude. The topic was changed though as Espen stood, calling over to Fitz. Als haringen in een ton zitten, and before he could even respond to the words Espen was pulling Juliette onto his lap, making space at the table for their friend to sit. While the two dorms of friends had their differences over the years, Marcel tried to remain friendly with them all, and raised his glass in greeting to the newcomer to their table. While there certainly was no privacy at this table, Marcel did do his best to hide his grin as Fitz’s attention was drawn to Luci. Marcel and Luci had dated last year, giving it a second shot to see where things would go. Ultimately, they were friends above all else, and there were no hard feelings. He wanted to see his coco happy. He nodded to Luci’s words as she glanced around the table, feeling like turning in after this was in his future. But their party was growing, and he raised his drink to Felix at his arrival, not hiding the grin this time. If Fitz’s friends were going to be so blunt about it, then really there was no harm in perhaps teasing Luci a bit. But then Adeline arrived, and Marcel slipped out of his seat, motioning for her to take it as he stood. “I agree with Adeline, mon coco. You and Fitz should take the chance to go and explore, hmm?”

He really couldn’t be blamed for the glare he sent Juli’s way, his hair was part of his pride and he thought it made him all the more handsome. Elias felt he lacked some of the things that he found attractive in other men: superior height, a more muscular build, a conventionally handsome face; but what he did have was glorious hair. He knew she was only joking though and quickly recovered with a smile her way. “Je hebt me gekwetst. Bravo.*” Over they years all of their roommates took it upon themselves to learn the languages of others, Juliette was already half Dutch and had learned early on for the sake of her father he believed but he had no doubt Espen had something to do with how often she used it and how fluent she was. He glanced over at the two thinking that if he hadn’t been so happy for his cousin it might have been annoying how all over each other they were. There little dorm gathering was interrupted as Espen stood and waved someone over. Elias was happy to find it was Fitz and gave him a genuine welcome but his friend had eyes for Luci and at this Eli did roll his eyes, though it was accompanied by a playful grin. He did love dear little Lucille but she was so dense and Nikola was such a fool in love, or like, or attraction, or whatever it was he had felt for the stunner for years now. Felix was quick on his roommates heels and at this the dutchmen tensed a little, sliding his gaze to his cousin. He had never had anything against Battier, but if it came to a confrontation over hurt feeling Elias would never hesitate to hex him. He thought though that it wouldn’t come to that. Felix seemed unbothered by Juli perched in Espen lap, he was more focused on wingmanning for Nikola. Apparently all of Fitzwilliam's roommates where in on the game of finally getting him together with Luci as Addie appeared , adding on her encouragement for the pair to spend more time together tonight. Instinctively he sat up a little straighter at the sight of the eldest Dufort, feeling more alert now than the mere bystander he had been moments before. He was unsure of where he wanted to be with the beauty but as of late it had grown dormant between and he wasn’t sure if that was something he wanted to pick back up. Adeline was amazing but she was meant for someone else and to continue further seemed wrong in some way. He still draped an arm around her shoulder when Marc graciously relinquished the seat next to him and gave her a welcoming smile. “Hey there.” he said in return, seeing no reason to be unfriendly until they had a moment alone to speak. Perhaps that opportunity would present itself tonight. “The night is young Luci and Fitz I hear it always ripe for a good time.” he winked at his fellow country man before glancing down at the blonde tucked into his shoulder. “We could all go out if you prefer. Isn’t there a Pandemonium around here? Any objections to a night of clubbing with the English?”You wound me dear. Bravo*
