Friends, love, and snacks. That would set Mick to rights, at least for the moment, at least for tonight. Lily still couldn’t think of how she would have handled the situation her roommate had found themselves in on this otherwise joyous night. Marlene had been a saint in her opinion and the redhead was willing to do whatever was necessary to make her feel better about the situation. Dumpy seemed in on it as well because the tray she returned withheld more than one of their favorites she knew. Lily immediately plucked up a bite-sized tart and popped it into her mouth with a low hum when Mick returned to their comfort circle with their feast. Potion or no, she had consumed more alcohol than normal and nothing but good old food was going to soak that up. She nodded along to Doe’s words, sleeping in did sound nice. “Sounds like a plan to me.” she agreed to Mick’s decision easily, even if she wasn't sold on the fire-whiskey part. It didn’t really matter what it was, Lily would have agreed, besides she was currently more focused on the snack selection to make any suggestions of her own. She decided on a biscuit next, it all looked so good though.
And it was. Everything the elves made was delicious. She was a little too wrapped up in her sweet though because she almost missed Mary’s cheek. She shot her a playful glare that was in complete opposition to the smile that had sprung to her face. It was silly, but just thinking about James was making her smile. Probably a side effect of the night they had just shared…”No, Mary. I do not have anything further to discuss with James that can’t wait for the next Heads meeting.” She said as hauntingly as possible, her nose in the air. But again, her face cracked and she felt a little blush creep into her cheeks. “Stop. It’s not funny.” Then why was she giggling? She blamed it on the boozed but in her heart, she knew. James was…something else, that was for sure and she couldn’t stop thinking about him.
“But you are right. We should let them know. I mean I have to let James know, one of us has to be available.” Brushing crumbs from her hands Lily made a show of launching herself across Mary’s legs, trapping her against the bed with a grin. She gave Dorcas and Marlene a glance, preparing to be mocked for her next words but uncaring if it made Mick feel better. “Maybe we should wait a bit. Let them get more…comfortable, before we pop over.”
