Guin was positively beaming again, her sudden somber mood successfully shaken off as she dipped into conversation with the remaining people in the compartment. Daisy and Charlotte she had expected to take well her advances for getting together over the summer, but Remus offering his place for them all to hang out? Shocker! Maybe Char was doing more for him than Guin had ever noticed. Shame on her for not seeing how amazing her friend was and what an amazing effect she had on people. "That sounds great!" the brunette said excitedly, blue eyes shining brightly at the group.
At Charlotte's question though, the lively girl pulled an ugly face. "I'll be working the reception desk at Mongu's." she admitted solemnly, exaggerating the dullness of it all just a bit. "It's only temporary though, I can't stay there forever." She really didn't want to work there at all, but she had no other plan. She perked up again at another thought, though. "But Daisy, that means you and I will have plenty of opportunities to get together. I'll be visiting you in the Tea Room all the time. And Char, you could come too, when you're available that is."
So maybe she had given Remus a sly look at her last, feeling as if the other graduate would be monopolizing the Fudge girl's time over the summer. Not that Guin was complaining. She, like all of there other friends, was glad to see Remus happily in a relationship. She knew Lily was over the moon about it for sure, and the Marauders seemed perfectly content nowadays. Thinking of the other boys in her year made her think of Sirius and the chipper girl felt a horrible pang in her gut at the thought of mister tall, dark, and handsome. Her mouth tasted oddly like rejection and in a fit of unwanted emotion, Guin stood up and nearly fled the compartment. "I'll be back. I'm going to say farewell to all of my friends in the younger years. Don't have too much fun without me!"

Whatever had dampened Guin’s mood was suddenly changing as Remus offered up his flat, and Daisy was glad for it. Guin was a lovely friend, and she deserved just as much happiness as the rest of them. But, Daisy was also sure that Sirius was too busy falling for Willa for there to be much of a future between Guin and Sirius at this point. At the very least, they would all get to spend some time together in some way, as Daisy was keen to see this place that she was sure Charlotte was going to be spending most of her summer. At Guin’s next though, it was Daisy’s turn to perk up - because having a friend at Mungo’s was always nice! “Oh, that’s absolutely wonderful Guin, please do!” Her boring summer days would be much better when she had someone to talk to, and hopefully about things that weren’t as sad as the usual conversations that she experienced in the tea room. But, before Daisy could say much more, Guin was up and out of the compartment, and the redhead waved to their retreating friend before giving a sigh. “You know I love you all, but I’m not going to miss how dramatic things can get around the four of you,” Daisy teased with looks to both Remus and Peter, before standing up and dragging her boyfriend with her. “You two behave in here, we’ll be back later,” she added with wink to Charlotte before she shut the compartment door behind them, giving her boyfriend a sly grin as they walked down the hall.

Remus was glad his suggestion seemed well liked by all three of the girls in the compartment, even if it was a bit selfish. He wasn’t entirely sure how often he would see Charlotte this summer, although he did hope she would come by his place once he moved. He knew that maintaining friendships with those outside of Hogwarts not involved in the war was going to be more difficult, it wasn’t as if he’d done a great job of staying in contact with every school friend in the summers past. But he could do this, maintain a life that was just as good as the one he’d had during his years at school. He could keep his secret - although, telling Charlotte was something he really should do - and exist in their magical world. And when this war was said and done, when he’d done his part, maybe then he could come back to Hogwarts. He didn’t miss the look Guin was giving him after her words, but took the moment to find his fingernails really very interesting. He wasn’t surprised that she was soon leaving the four of them alone in the compartment, the social butterfly off to see more of her friends. Daisy’s comment brought a chuckle out of him, head shaking as he smirked. Oh, he knew exactly what she meant, and he’d been glad whenever Sirius figured out what was going on his head. But then Daisy and Peter were leaving, off to do things he was going to try not to think about. Their once full compartment was suddenly just the two of them, and he smiled down to Charlotte. “I’ve got a book I’d like to finish, if you don’t have any objections.”

It was with quite some joy that Charlotte watched the exchange between Guin and Daisy; what luck was it that both of them were to be at St. Mungo's! She knew Daisy enjoyed the job well enough, but having Guin just a few floors away would make it so much more enjoyable. So she could only smile at the older girl's invitation. "That sounds just lovely, I'll make a point to," she promised, giving Guin a wave as she took her exit. It was hardly a moment before Daisy and Peter, too, were excusing themselves. And while she had to give her best friend a look at the insinuation, she was nonetheless...relieved. She didn't do well in the chaos that was the Gryffindor Common Room, which had essentially been boiled down to its necessary components within the compartment, and... this is good."No objections, none." Smiling, Charlotte hopped up and pulled his rucksack down before grabbing her own. Books out, compartment otherwise empty, she nevertheless snuggled back in, putting his arm back around her shoulders with a little grin before tucking her legs up onto the bench. Finally able to properly breathe - it'd been much too crowded when she arrived, and really, all Charlotte wanted was to spend this time with Remus - she relaxed into him upon finding her page. The train kept rumbling on, scenery outside of the windows slowly changing as they slowly drew closer to King's Cross, and the time passed quietly. Sharing moments of their books when fancy struck, pointing out a favorite feature of the trip as they breezed past this castle or that lake, Char wasn't thinking about this as a last. Next term would be different, certainly; she'd be a fool to think otherwise, and Charlotte Fudge was no fool. But if this year had shown her anything, it was that different didn't have to mean disaster. Whatever's coming...there's no reason to think you're not up for the challenge. You've got this. You both do...
